It just comes down to, did the game teach you well enough to beat the game? I guess people who expect a regular modern game with handholding throughout would say no. The point of From's design is it gives you the controls, the design early in, and expects a player to learn from experience, game-time. Unfortunately most reviewers expect a game without much challenge, if you are losing in an RPG just level up until you're over-scaled. In Sekiro, you're given no co-op or anything TOO overpowered to make you over-scaled or have the extreme upper hand because you have a player that knows the boss. You have to learn the mechanics as much as the game wants you to. I think having a triple A game that is too hard to beat without being because of extreme AI cheese is a great thing.

Depends on how difficult it is to perform the glitch (because even if it saves times it may in fact be MORE difficult to do), but because speedruns don't compete with playing the game casually, assuming the glitch is just as easy to perform as cheating with a trainer, my "using a car to complete your jog" analogy stands unchanged and I agree that there's no real difference.

A good chunk of the time the glitches you see being performed aren't anywhere NEAR as easy as playing the game normally, let alone checking a box in a cheating program, so there's only no difference in your dream scenario.
