Why not? If I choose to complete a game because I like it enough, doing all achievements is my way to go unless there is some ingame percentage.

>'Yes, it was quite a challenge, but it was also INCREDIBLY FUN... not to mention all the loot!'
Did you not even read it?

You're basically going by a checklist when playing games, how fucking boring

>division 2
>good

yikers

dude that must have been some sweet loot

It's a great way to get more out of the game you bought. Even if you have 100% progress in the game, there are probably still some achievements left. Only r*ddit shitters don't care about finishing their game because muh "huge backlog and wageslaving"

>your favorite game
>good

WOOOOOOOW

The guy is fucking based. He has kids and despite that he still has time for his hobby, instead of being a slave for the rest of his life.

They're for people who fail to achieve anything in the real world and as such use games to fill that void. It's the same reason casinos introduced memberships, reward and VIP systems etc

It's basic psychology designed to exploit the basic.

I go for achievements because I have nothing else in my life and use them as a worthless sense of accomplishment.

kek

Can't believe that guy got shit on so hard for such a basic comment

children and americans like goodboy points

>I'm in secure about my taste in games
>So I shit talk other games I don't like to make myself feel better
yikeroni

Found the poorfag.

depends on the game
achievements/trophies are good when they're just checkmarks for 100%ing the game like you would normally
get all the collectibles, beat the hardest difficulty
some extra challenges like don't pick up any health powerups are fine too

they're shit when it's garbage like kill 100000000 enemies, kill 150 red enemies while on a motorcycle with less than 5 health, top the scoreboard, online achievements in general

and? Living in eastern european countryside as a poorfag is pretty comfy. Enjoy your pollution citycu*ck

it's reddit, upvotes/downvotes are just social credit system for neckbeards

>you cant shit on me for having shit taste
Oof

taste is subjective you moron

i swear you fags are so autistic about why people like achievements. Its just about doing cool stuff that you normally wouldn't do.

Granted there is really dumb achievements(aka "KILL FIRST ENEMY", "RELOAD GUN", "OPEN MAP" etc)

But shit like Dead Rising 7 day survivor or CoD 4s Mile High Club is just fun little bragging rights about cool challenges. Like the guy in OPs pic, its not about just about getting the "achievement", its about holding 3 control points at the same time(while also being solo).

They're all shit. They just serve as statistics for devs anyway. We never needed them in the past and we still don't need them.

>bragging rights
>video games
Literal autism.

you wouldnt understand, casual scum

I miss the achievement autism that was in the early Xbox 360 titles.

If you don't have 100k+ gamerscore and sick breakdancing skills you are even worth any girls time.
Talking about cheevos and the number of followers you have on Myspace is a great way to pick up girls in clubs
