Stage builder was only cool in Brawl when associated with mods. Smash 4's had nice backgrounds.. but only 3 of them. Here's to hope Ultimate's lets you mix and match asserts of different stages.

Don't know, but probably just because they'd have to remake them for every new console they use or something like that.

tournyniggers have 100+ stages to play on because after Sakurai went out of his way to make FD and Battlefield versions of every level but they're too autistic to play on any of them

I always tried to make one giant pinball machine themed level, then after that i got bored of level editor.

I'm hoping for the following.

>Give me more to work with than what Smash 4 had to offer

Brawl's stage builder might not have had as much freedom as smash 4's, but it had a lot more variety.

I made a few battlefield stages with my favorite songs in smash 4. I don't know if I'd do that for Ult. since you can select which song you want.

battlefield stages and omega stages are used as "re-skins" when battlefield/fd are picked
if i strike battlefield then my rival could pick any other stage in battlefield form because "why the fuck not, its another stage!" in any other situation

I'm hoping to be able to use the stages and change the background. If I can give the Kalos League stage a black background then I already have a Kingdom Hearts stage.

Collisions with walls behave differently with stage builder stages.

That and Imagine having to make the exact same stage for every console (unless we get a way of importing and exporting stages)

It's been saved for post-launch because Nintendo doesn't know how games as a live service works, and know they're low on games so they use DLC to extend the lifespan of the few games people buy. (See Mario Tennis, Splatoon 2, Arms)

Hell yes. It was my most used feature in Tr4sh, mostly because the brilliant decision to split the available stages into two games left much to be desired.

I made a stage that roughly looked like this that everyone I played on it with agreed it was a ton of fun. The red bars being lava, so if someone launched you they bounced you right back onto the stage. However you would rack up a bunck of damage so it wasn't like they kept you from getting KO'd for long. It was a little bit shorter that final destination.

Of course it was intentional. You dont edit a video without seeing that shit beforehand, they were playing a new build of the game for the commercial. In all honesty, every correct rumor was probably spread by nintendo themselves in order to drum up hype for the update
