After Gen 5

2

It was always okay at best honestly it’s just sold well I guess because the idea and now just sells of name alone
The idea itself is amazing
The games however are actually really ugh in comparison

pic would be a lot better without the in-your-face text.

Whenever Masuda who took over supervision for GameFreak

the world would be alot better if your parents had aborted you

After Gen 5's reception Masuda realized that actually trying to make a decent game is a waste of time and that normie money stacks higher than fan money.

I agree.
my genetics are weak and the planet is overburdened enough

she looks like she only fucks her trainer after they have a romantic hamburger dinner date

How the fuck did they manage to make me want to fuck a cockroach? This is bullshit.

Sometime around the end of sophomore year in high school.

Gen 5 was the first outright bad gen, then the series only got worse from there.

6. Then it went back to being good.

Spotted the zoomers
Gen 5 is fucking trash, despite their flaws Gen 7 is miles better

Gen 7 is awful. You are a retard and a bitch.

based regibro

gen 2, everything past it absolutely garbage and more the same but dumb, digimon is better

the one that you disliked the most

After gold/silver it became apparent that Gamefreak had no intention of ever making a pokemon game with a story. They just make the same game over and over with mild tweaks to the combat and slightly improved visuals (sometimes).

People don't play JRPGs for the gameplay, but there were a lot of people that grew up with the series and like the designs of the monsters, I guess. So they don't really mind the lack of a story or interesting characters.

cute.

>WHO IS GOING TO MCDONALDS NIGHT?!?!

Pokefags should all be gassed.

I stopped caring after two. Two was the last one where I had them all memorized.
I was obsessed with knowing everything I could about all the pokemon before that, but then by the 3rd generation I started to lose interest and didn't even finish the game.

gen 6, 3d ruined pokemon because masuda is literally retarded and doesn't know how 3d games work

only gens with new eeveelutions are good

>had no intention of ever making a pokemon game with a story.
They tried with B/W but that game had a slew of other problems, notably being on the DS after the 3DS was announced, being the only mainline pokemon game to not have a remastered edition and having the story split across two games.

Imagine being this fucking wrong

You only have yourself to blame, degenerate.

Succ succ bros come here

I actually absolutely adore turn based combat.

Went downhill starting from gen 6. Gen 4 was also pretty fucking bad.

>Gen 1-2
Retarded nostalgia cuck zone. Usually will totally ignore poor mechanics, tech limitations, glaring bugs, and other such design flaws in favor of being delusional. Literally OLD GAME GOOD against all logic and reason, they literally just keep making the same game but with better graphics and less critical flaws from this point.
>Gen 3
Entering actually good Pokemon but not all the way there yet.
>Gen 4-5
Probably the best Pokemon is ever going to get. Physical/Special split and online functionality, tons of features and content, games seem to actually be improving with each new edition.
>Gen 6 onwards
Devolution of the series. Games were removing past content instead of adding more. Poorly optimized and a lot of off-color/bad models compared to previous sprite work. I don't really want to bring up difficulty because Pokemon was always easy as fuck, but they're clearly shifting their aim to 7-9 year olds rather than 10-12.

Anyway Gamefreak sucks dick and can't figure out how to have more than one save file.

Unironically after the second gen.
Every gen after that used gimmicks and developing hardware to justify remaking the same game.
Gen 2 improved and balanced on the system of the first, allowed you to get 16 gym badges, had fantastic music, great variety of locations, and you could fight gen 1 protag.
It increased the stakes, and heavily increased content. Had day/night cycle, daycare, the dumb phone thing. It added more in one gen then all the others have collectively.

Once they decided to reel back from 2, instead of finding more ways to add content and mechanics, they started declining. Slowly but surely.

that horrifying

Time has left Pokemon behind. The idea of using any character your opponent could use is cool for a strategy game, but suffers in the grindy RPG format Pokemon chose. Too much junk is required at the start of the game to keep the challenge even, and it's too late to rework out Rattatas and String Shots and IVs at this point.

Everything after Platinum is just a previous game but worse. BW2 was a rare return to form but that was mostly a fluke.
