Bump. Claimed it but I've heard mixed reviews. Apparently same dev as lords of the fallen
Not really. Short, as clunky as Lords of the fallen and the same 5 enemies through the entire game.
sure
lol filtered
game is great OP.
it's a clear improvement over lords of the fallen, but still deeply flawed.
It's worth one playthrough.
h*ck yeah

You cannot miss what you have never seen before
Yup. Get the Creo World DLC as well since it’s basically an additional level with boss and expands the lore, plus you get new armour and weapons.
I had a lot of fun with it, especially its Neil Blomkampf artstyle and setting. It’s basically futuristic dark souls with combat that is actually tighter and funnier. You actually get to amputate specific limbs and get the armour sets respective to those parts (head=helmet, leg=boots, etc). It’s shorter than most souls games but it manages to tell a more coherent story because of that and you will sink a good 60hours into it at least.
Totally. Get to keep it forever without pissplus reddit.com
Fantastic game
That song hits right in the feels every time.
it's showing that it was fixed
My ratings so you can get an idea. Like em or not.
Dark Souls - not worth playing trash
Dark Souls 2 - trash
Dark Souls 3 - trash
Bloodborne - less trash
Lords of the Fallen - less trash
Surge - ok
Outward - ok
Sekiro - masterpiece
Demons Souls - Top 10 Worst Games of All Time
what are your thoughts on dmc3/4/5?
When you're in the wheel chair you slide down the handicap ramp if you don't touch the control stick. It was very cool
pleb tier and utterly embarrassing post
What about Nioh?
Why would you care what he thinks about irrelevant games?
stfu faggot
3 - trash
4 - ok
5 - pretty good
Nioh - ssj2ok
>stfu faggot
lol no
Wanted to know if his opinions were worth considering, but tells me he has no grasp at all on matters of taste.
What are some other Souls clone? It doesn't matter if they're lame or not.
and what would you rank dmc
Pretty good actually
Just use a fast weapon, this game sucks dick when you lock yourself into using one of those two handed shits that take 5 years to swing
With fast weapon its very bloodborne-y
Downloaded it 2 days ago and it's okay. The artstyle really carries it for me and the combat is alright but some elements feel clunky and floaty.
5 > 3 > 4 > blood borne > nioh > DmCDE > dark souls
>this game sucks dick when you lock yourself into using one of those two handed shits that take 5 years to swing
In my personal experience the best weapon class was the one-hand-rigged weapons
The normal swings are slow, but the weapon is heavy enough that a lot of enemies are staggered by it, so you get one hit and can spam till they die.
Also, that forward dash attack makes the game a joke, it's like a katana poke on steroids
I tried all the weapons too and I agree. The 1H-rigged were by far the most fun to use.
It's pretty good, a massive improvement over Lords of the Fallen. I would say the only flaws the game has are caused by budget limitations because it's a smaller studio, there are too few bosses, and the enemy variety isn't that good, but unlike Lords of the Fallen it does a good job of properly spacing when you encounter new enemies, so even though there aren't that many types of enemies you will constantly be running into new ones as you progress through the game.
Something that could be a big deal breaker is the environments, personally i loved them, but i can see why people would find them dull, repetitive and boring, so your mileage might vary on that.
Personally i loved using the big weapons.
OP here, it sounds like The Surge is worth a try (using 1H weapons)
Lords of the Fallen is like a worse version of The Surge. Nioh is actually pretty good mechanically, your mileage may vary with the diablo-style looting system. There's Code Vein which looks like the combat still needs work but they've delayed it indefinitely to hopefully work on that. I've heard mixed opinions on Ashen, Sinner Sacrifice for Redemption is meant to be okay and I think that's about it for direct clones. There's a few platformers that share some mechanics like Salt and Sanctuary and Death's Gambit, but I can't get into those personally.
I liked it, it has flaws but I enjoyed it.
what I liked most was the level design especially in the second area. whereas souls games have become increasingly bad at dropping bonfires every few steps which leads to more linear design, the surge sticks to the one bonfire per area rule, instead favoring creating shortcuts back to the initial bonfire. you end up with a massively complex level that doesn't feel linear in the slightest and the second area is the best example of that.
It took me a while to get used to the "feel", the movement isn't very responsive and the attacks feel sluggish. It's a step up from Lords of the Fallen though, which I didn't finish because it felt like shit to play.
The level with the medbay on the lift was one of those 10/10 ideas in a 6/10 game moments for me, really cool concept.
