Why aren't Japanese publishers putting their last gen digital-only games on it? Games like Bionic Commando Rearmed, Hard Corps Uprising, Spelunker HD, Elevator Action Deluxe, Castlevania: The Adventure ReBirth, Strider (2014), etc.

Playing Splatoon, waiting on a release date or any new info about the FFCC remaster.

Been running a NG+ for XC2 while also going through Master Mode for BotW. I'm most looking forward to Astral Chain and Link's Awakening Remake, but also will pick up Fire Emblem and Mario Maker 2 when it arrives earlier.

horrible deal

Who the fuck bought a switch?

It's just wii u ports and shitty indie games. I honestly don't understand

got a switch the other day. only games i got it for are animal crossing and mario maker, but neither are out yet. pc gaming has really spoiled me, i dont want to buy any other games unless they're on sale because 60 bucks plus dlc is fucking ridiculous. ree.

Looking forward to the sequel.

A Hat In Taking Its Sweet Time getting to the Switch would be nice too.

Gonna start Ys VIII when I get off work, really looking forward to it. Also playing The Messenger and my import copy of Ace Attorney Trilogy.

I'm interested in Dragon's Dogma, Cuphead, and FFXII TZA for this month, but I don't know which I'm gonna buy as I'm working on my backlog.

it's the best complement for a PC. Plus portability is just great, even if you never leave your home.

It is really a good complement, although lately I've found that I'd rather get RPGs on Switch if its an option, just for the convenience of it.

>Plus portability is just great, even if you never leave your home
What does this even mean?

Playing in bed/when someone else is watching TV/while waiting for something

>Playing in bed
Why would anyone want to play in bed? How is that even comfortable?

I'm playing this. I'm not good at it though.

Is Mechstermination Force good? I heard it's Contra meets SotC.

That is pretty cool.

>Is VA-11 hall-a good?
I loved it, but it's got a pretty specific audience. You can liken it to playing a JRPG but instead of the hero on the quest you're just a regular guy in a tavern. There's a lot of interesting shit happening around Jill and to the people passing through the bar, but in the end it's just about her day to day life. There isn't a grand overarching story or anything and it ends a bit abruptly. A lot of people complain that nothing really happens, but that's kind of the point. The drink mixing mechanic is pretty simple though it does give you some options to play around with it (e.g. a character starts to ask for one drink, says another, and you have the choice of making either drink, or loading up drinks with alcohol to get a customer wasted). The character interactions are good too save for a couple of characters and the blatant YIIK shills that pop up for a few minutes.

Playing Octopath. Just watched a GameSpot related video on “Brilliant Combat” and am now enjoying the game even more. It’s awesome. Kinda tells the story not only in its narrative, but also through its combat.

>Is VA-11 hall-a good?
Does a slice of life story set in a cyberpunk world, from the perspective of a bartender sound interesting to you? If yes, then you'll like it, if no, then you probably won't.

I love it, I think the cast is great and the writing/story was enthralling for me, seeing each character slowly unravel over the course of their visits to the bar. Just be aware it is very much slice of life, some people here really hate that.

It's a VN to be clear, and your actions are minimal. Effectively you can impact how dialogue goes based on what you serve in places (eg someone may ask for X but if you think about it, they really want Y, give them Y and you'll get different dialogue, or there might be different dialogue if they're more drunk).

t. someone who owns the game on PC, the Vita collectors edition, the Jill plushy, has a Jill poster, has her shirt and is considering buying the Switch version of the game too just because

God I can't fucking wait. I hope we get information about it at E3. I'm so excited about being able to play at launch with everybody instead of coming in late like I did with New Leaf.

Same user. I'm ready for max comfiness and frens

So, what do you think is getting announced on the Direct? I'm betting on Pikmin 4 but I've been doing so for a year.

I caved in and bought BaBa is You because a friend kept talking about it. Pleasantly surprised because I hadn't heard about the game other than him and I play a level or two at night depending on how hard they are and am having a very good time with it. Fun indie puzzle game with a malleable ruleset, if anyone is interested in that kinda thing.

Attached: DiAUY_bVQAEZ6a6.jpg (720x658, 41K)

I should just wait for the revision right instead of buying one right now?

I have two friends who bought it on PC, and it just seems like a perfect game for Switch.

It's good if you like fighting really big bosses. You can't take upgrades you get later into earlier fights, and the jumping might feel a bit floaty to you. If you played the Gunman Clive games, it's a bit similar to that in jumping considering both were made by the same devs.

You're too late to buy the indefinitely hackable one, so yeah, wait for the revised version.

Yeah man, it's great to play in small bursts in bed. The only thing I dislike is both left bumper and left trigger are set to bring up the "reset level" menu with a yes or no option and I seem to hit it much more than I intend to. Also A and B are both set to confirm for whatever reason, but that doesn't come up too often, you'd just expect B to back you out of a menu rather than select.

Content wise the puzzles are really great. Some are easy and some are hard, but I hear the second half of the game gets really mindfucky but I can't comment on that as I'm in about 50 deep out of 200 levels. There are also a select few that require some really dumb solution that you aren't really told about but they are few and far between.

Honestly it's pretty great and I'm glad I didn't miss it.

No ds :(

It's still good. There are plenty of new players after the free period two weeks ago.

Emulate it, then. The paint job they've done on the game is seriously seriously bad, looks like a moderately good porn flash game.

Absolutely worth it. As says there's a lot of new players including me after the demo. I have no issue finding people to play with no matter when I hop on.

What's a good weapon for someone who stopped playing because they only liked the Roller?

Keep using rollers, since they're still good? Especially if you git gud with the vertical attack.

Do note that he explicitly said the Switch version user. Hell, I already own the damn thing on PC and I'll still get the Switch version if it's a physical release.

Which one has the best loadout? I used vanilla roller and gold dynamo.

Is the Cozmic Collection worth it at fifty dollarydoos? Because there's no way in hell I would drop $220 for it even if the Collector's version was available again.

Thanks! I have to pick the online for Smash so I was thinking about getting Splatoon too.
Is the single player campaign any good?

I don't live in a 3rd world country m8. Those are 8 burgers, 16 burgers, and 40 burgers respectively.
I've seen a sale happen on a Hamster game ONCE with Metal Slug. I'm pissed I could've gotten Monster Boy for $25 physical at one point, but my phone just had to conveniently be a piece of shit at the last second during a bid.

Is Castle Crashers and Freedom Planet physicals confirmed? I searched FP and it was rerated by the esrb apparently.

I just finished the story of Xenoverse 2.
I'll probably switch to playing FFVII after pizza gets here. I've started it a few times over the years, but this is the first time I'm playing it in earnest. I just got to the part where a red dog joins your party. He's the only character I renamed except for Aeris to Aerith.

Those games look so fucking bad, which is a shame because I really like Kamen Rider.

It was on PS3/360---it will be fine. Granted, the PC port was exceptional and the definitive way to play but the Switch person won't be a hack job.

Mainly been playing Mario Kart, been playing some of that and a bit of Smash with my bro as well, fun times. Stages where you can walk up to the blast zones are hilarious.
Any NEOGEO games people would reccomend? I should probably try Metal Slug but I'm not sure what to do credits wise.

What's it like? I've heard it's not very good as that other guy said, but I'm curious anyway. I love me some Kamen Rider.

ok

Attached: Friendly Fire.webm (900x600, 1.03M)

I played both, and I say the 2nd is better

It's a pretty simple arena fighter game with a good chunk of the main riders and the secondary riders. Definitely better than the previous games imo because it has Kamen Rider Black.

Is the Shadowgate remake good?

Probably cuphead for now.

i will once you stop spacing your sentences like a retard

Has literally anyone gotten this that can tell me how it compares to Wooly World

Attached: yosh.jpg (220x220, 26K)

I never hear a lot of people talk about Dust, but it was a decent one for me.

As someone who loves Woolly World, the general opinion is that this game is 2 steps back with one of the worst soundtracks of all time. It's literally 1 song remixed 3 different times using a max of 4 instruments. There isn't one challenging section in the game. The art style is nice when the aggressive DoF isn't burning your eyes.

Oh shit, I'm actually interested now. Does it play well enough? I assume it fulfills my desire to shout attack names at my switch, and also how plot heavy is it, like I've not seen Zi O and it'll definitely be a good while before I do.
>it has Kamen Rider Black.
hell yeah

Yoshi hasn't been good since Island.

>It's literally 1 song remixed 3 different times
For real? That is a massive step back from the last game. Usually GF fills their games up with a ton of tracks so this is really shocking to me.

>As someone who loves Woolly World
I haven't played Crafted World but I think it's funny that the negatives you mentioned apply 100% to Woolly World as well
>horrid soundtrack
>easy to the point of being boring
>art style is the only redeeming feature but misguided blurs everywhere because muh diorama faking

Attached: 1553066937423.jpg (618x679, 85K)

How's Octopath Traveler? Bear in mind that I don't really play JRPGs so I'm easily impressed

Attached: fW4FJ.png (315x331, 18K)

The game isn't really plot heavy and has pretty much nothing to do with the actual show. It plays well enough if pretty simple for an arena fighter (though a number of the Riders have some gimmicks) but probably won't fully fulfill your desire to shout attack names since it doesn't include too much for all the riders but you'll definitely see attacks for their main forms (like Build having some of the first best matches alongside RabbitRabbit and TankTank). Also you need to go through the story to unlock all the riders, but if you're a fan of the older Heisei riders then you'll be able to get them all in one chapter close to the middle of the story.
One thing I should point out though is while it's 7,433 yen on the eshop which is equal to about $60 US dollars, you're gonna have to shell out $80 or $90 to buy a 5,000 yen & 3,000 yen card or a 9,000 yen japan nintendo eshop card.

You're not really gonna like it if you're not into JRPGs, since most of the stuff an uninitiated person would like of the genre (story, setting, sense of adventure, characters, etc) the game massively fails at. You should get FFVII or some shit if anything.

With rumors of a new Switch console is it worth getting the current one?

Animal Crossing

Always wait for the end period of a console before getting it. I was lucky enough to get gifted a hackable one, but I would wait if I were you.

Just wait.

It's really fun when you start but it gets really boring and the grind isn't fun because you actually have to pay attention to do it.

Ok, I'm just gonna get XBC2 in that case.

Grinding isn't necessary until postgame (and it's rather brief in there) in Octopath if you know what you're doing.

>woolly world
>easy to the point of being boring

I was just going to look on ebay for a physical copy of it, and while it's pretty much the equivilant of 7,433 yen, that's a bit pricey compare to what games normally cost over here.
It sounds like it'd be a fun time, but probably not worth that much unfortunately, maybe if I can find it cheaper. Good to know I wouldn't spoil myself (much) on stuff I haven't seen yet though.
>no Chalice

Nothing wrong with it if you couldn't play it before. I'm hyped too because the only other platform I got is a PS4.

Attached: turok-1---button-2019-1551894643652.jpg (2160x2160, 577K)

Yeah there is no Chalice. Most of the older heisei represtation is just the primary riders while the neo-heisei get their secondary riders

this, one of the worst positions to play

Yeah, I wasn't surprised by it, but he's one of my favourites so it would've been nice.

I 100%'d it two weeks ago. lol incredibly challenging wtf are you on about? You can fly horizontally indefinitely, once you get the reveal secrets power badge you can 100% most stages in one go (you never, ever run out of beads), and even without it they're not super hard to find; DKCTF's are way harder. The only hard stages are the S stages and even among those some are pretty easy, the only one that really gave me any trouble was Naval Piranha Returns. The extra special level is also dead easy, as is the boss rush except for Baby Bowser. Even those "hardest" stages only take 10 tries or so with zero penalty for losing. If you're not fucking around looking for a secret the levels and enemies pose zero threat, specially when compared to Yoshi's Island.

Yeah, I wish there could be a bigger roster to include the secondary riders for the older heiseis and maybe some of the tetiary riders for all the series since I'd honestly want to play as Baron

Annnnnd, I deserve this regret.

It'll probably be fine.

I came off playing Captain Toad Treasure Trackers, which I also found harder, specially that 50 level dungeon at the end, and moved on to DKCTF (yeah working on that Wii U backlog), which I'm playing right now. Now that one has a decent difficulty level and blows Woolly World out of the water in almost every single way. Can't wait to spend 3 years getting every Shiny Gold like I did for DKCR, now THAT'S incredibly challenging

>he doesn't have a fucking computer
Fucking zoomers, I swear.

Playing Breath of the Wild but Final fantasy XII, Dragons Dogma and Va-11 hall-a are games I look forward to!

The one Nintendo fan I knew was one of the most vile people I knew.
He'd go to work smelling like complete shit; his teeth were yellowed by god knows what; and he did nothing but complain about the job and virtually anything and everything to do with 'outside'.
He only ever wanted to talk about Nintendo games and if you talked about anything else he'd legitimately either freak out or start up a big ass argument.
Every time I see anything Nintendo related here I just imagine you're all just like him.
A bunch of screeching fat stinky autists.

Doom and Dark Souls run like shit, so what makes you so confident with Dragon's Dogma?

I'm also wondering this.

It was in the same leak as Cuphead.

>tfw Hyrule Warriors will never be on sale for $20

Dark Souls runs better than in PS3 and 360, Doom is not a PS3 release and it runs decently. You should've said something like LA Noire or DQ Heroes to make your point.

is this only on the eshop?

I thought this flopped so hard it broke the company and the rights went to the Rhode Island government

Why is Mario right next to a kid in a bathtub?

Battride Wars I think actually had a different version of the game with the songs for some reason, don't know why they didn't just do that in the first place.
>thumbnail is Climax Jump
I'm not quite sure if that, or Anything Goes is my favourite. They're all so fucking good.

>while looking like the last gen versions at that
It's not like remastered looked better in any way.

Please check up on what the discussion was about.

Please get some reading comprehension.

>No Be the One or Just Live More
Ok, dropped.
youtube.com/watch?v=i1QJkptzrw0

?

You really are dumbass, aren't you?

Sure. A dumbass, if anything.

Currently playing dark souls and getting my shit kicked in. This game felt easier the first time I played it

I wish they'd use more ska in their openings, Anything Goes is just so fucking good. I still have a soft spot for NO FEAR, NO PAIN and its Engrish version, it's a shame the plans to bring it to the West fell through youtube.com/watch?v=JzcmpjgPa2Y

Are you trying to imply the remaster actually looked better?

Anons, I had the same problem with the first left joycon I had, just less than one month after I bought my Switch (with that supposedly brand new joycon included). The most likely reason is literally dust. Yeah, that's right, fucking dust can ruin these 80 dollar controllers. Thankfully I was able to replace it with another one, and since then I keep my Switch inside a case any time I'm not using it.
How careful were you with your Switch before it happened? I used to leave it inside the dock and it just happened one day. Now I'm doing everything I can to keep the joycons away from any kind of particle.

Yeah, I'm mad they don't have those. Yet they put in Over Quartzer.

Are you trying to imply that 30fps for a last gen game on current hardware is in anyway acceptable?

rate my library bros
Been playing smash, mania + and FFVII the most recently. I don’t get to play as often as I used to, but when I do I still have fun. My only complain with the switch is the dumb online but aside from that I’m really happy with it.

Considering its a handheld doing that yes. That's a fair trade off.

Shit, guess I'm not the only one then
I've just been using the pro controller and making my friends use the joycon whenever we play

Forgot to mention, probably want to get cuphead next. Looking forward to the spyro trillogy, CTR, Samurai Shodown, Astral Chain. Pokémon too I guess but after gen 7 I’m cautiously optimistic about what gamefreak will give us.

Why greentext 30fps and then claim it looks as bad as the last gen versions if your second point was just you complaining about the fps again? Looks wise the last gen version is better than the lazy remaster.

Man, recently the fact that I don't own a pro controller has been affecting my enjoyment of playing on my switch. The tiny but noticable bit of wobble on my left has been distracting as fuck too.

>Looks wise the last gen version is better than the lazy remaster.
On a technical level?

Thinking of grabbing Skyrim at a store tomorrow, never played the game before, is it good on the Switch?

No, fuck no. Game's not good, not ever. Don't do it.

>I assume this is more VN than something that'd scratch a magical girl itch?
Actually it's a rogue-like dungeon crawler, it's pretty good actually.

>Playing
Phoenix Wright Trilogy, Picross. Need more spare time for Splatoon and Smash.
>Looking forward to
Animal Crossing, it's all I yearn for.

Vanilla Skyrim is fucking shit. Modded Skyrim still isn't fun but at least it's good for a wank

I would but my N64 is the shed

Bout to get Cupguy

What are some other decent couch co op games? I want to play with my lil bro

Attached: [shake].gif (512x512, 547K)

I will always recommend steam world dig 2

Oh cool, that looks interesting, I might get that later on, just not looking for a roguelike right now. Thanks user.

NSMBU

Get the remaster, it's legit good.

Overwhelm

So far Ys VIII runs fine. And there wasn't some immediate problem with it like the PC version last I tried that. Will complete this one for sure.

Has anyone played Caligula Effect Overdose even on other systems? I heard bad things about the vita version but this game looks arsthetically pleasing and has an interesting premise. Now, is the game actually good?

Attached: maxresdefault_thumb-10.jpg (554x313, 45K)

Ive been playing through disgaea 1 on pc and ive been really considering getting 5 on switch. Ive played 1 and 2 and heard 3 and 4 are pretty skipable

How much is ace attorney trilogy and should I buy it? Never played any of them

It looks like a game I wouldn't spend $50 bucks on even without the problems the switch version has.

is the trilogy good? someone else said it looks crappy if thats not you. never played any of the games

donkey kong frozen dong if you want to ruin the relationship

I haven't used my Switch since Xenoblade in 2017. Piece of shit.

I've had an import copy for about a week. Its worth buying.

>1.3 k/d is bad
take a shower and go outside

5 easily get you hundred of hours

How does it look crappy? Looks better than the original DS games by miles. The game is fun if you like VN styled mystery games.

wish slay the spire would come out already

>What are you playing
I've already beaten three times Dark Souls and I'm currently on my fourth playthrough. And I've only been playing this for the last month or so. Help me.
>looking forward
Dragon's Dogma, Dragon Quest XI S, Animal Crossing, maybe Link's Awakening and Bayo 3 and SMTV goddammit

They're great games.

The gba animations were smoother and some people prefer the pixel style.

In due time, I have a lot of fucking games to buy and in backlog

>help me
Do a playthrough with quelaag's fury sword
or any of the black knight weapons
ultimate cheese, dump the rest of your stats into vit/staminga

>Looks better than the original DS games by miles.
Are you on crack or something?

>Looks better than the original DS games by miles.
What? No. The linework is messy and obviously traced and the shadow work is simplified from a fucking GBA game. A mere screenshot comparison could tell you that.

some people dislike the redrawn look and prefer the pixel, i personally don't have any problem with it
the only problem is capcom should actually start packing other titles into another triology instead of keep reselling this one. there are like 3-4 more titles out there in the series

Playing: sonic mania, FF7 (it sucks)

Looking forward to: Cuphead, Animal Crossing

I'm tellin' y'all, Overwhelm is fuckin' amazing.

I appreciate the input, user, but I mean that I can't stop playing this fucking game. Also, I can't stop using the Claymore and the cursed version of the greatsword of Artorias.

oh, is that the red metroidvania where enemies getting stronger instead of you?

Do not buy time at portia, I pirated the leak version and holy shit it took such a long time to load, the art is pretty meh despite it has some pretty interesting game play mechanic for a harvest moon style, if you like the genre then wait until they fix this shit

God i can't wait for rune factory 5

Why do people like smash so much? It's just people spamming projectiles and neutral airs. It's not fun

Playing MK8 deluxe with the wife
>looking forward to
the final fantasy game, I haven't played any of them before

YE

It's actually really fun, very unforgiving, but satisfying. Imagine a distopian twist between Metroid and Contra, with just a DROP of Nausicaa.

Fucking kinopiece.

I might need to watch more gameplay footage, I don't mind the pixel at all but the ALL RED really fucking with my eyes after a while

>game runs 30 fps game at 30 fps
>wow this runs like shit

Attached: sqQlid7.jpg (900x810, 55K)

>the final fantasy game, I haven't played any of them before
which you do you want to start first? honestly just spread them out, don't give money to fucking SE day 1, they are top jew

I think THQ Nordic bought the rights.

the best offline mmo ever

Replacement joysticks are 10$ if you have the know how to replace them.

Is chocobo mystery dungeon worth getting? I've played the other games in the mystery dungeon series, just wondering how this ranked.

You like dungeon crawler? check out vaporum bro
nintendo.com/games/detail/vaporum-switch/

They are, and I've done it. It's just bullshit that these things go bad so easily. I think Smash really brought out this problem into the limelight and I'd love to see it addressed by Nintendo

meh , can get them for less second hand

Games I have that I'm playing:
SM Odyssey
SSBU
Pokken Tournament DX
Pokemon: Let's Go Pikachu & Eevee
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze
Kirby: Star Allies
Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy
Fire Emblem Warriors
Nintendo Switch Online - NES

Games I am looking forward to playing:
Pokemon Sword & Shield
Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled
Fire Emblem: 3 Houses
Yoshi's Crafted World

Games that I will play if they are ported to Switch:
Spyro: Reignited Trilogy
Assassin Creed 2 Remaster

I just finished doing damn near all the modes in Shantae HGH Ultimate. I dunno what people are saying about it, its easily the best Shantae game next to Pirate's Curse. The other modes besides the main quest were amazing.

Might start Golf Story.

I just dropped it but its pretty good gameplay wise. The story starts off really interesting but doesn't really go anywhere interesting and the characters don't really feel special or anything. The guy that travels with the Chocobo is really annoying too. But from a gameplay perspective purely, it was pretty enjoyable. Tracks from previous games are all over this game - it has almost no original tracks.

any indies that you guys eyeing?
im pretty in touch with all the big titles release, but i want some indie here and there and i can't keep up with all of them

this one from the user is just my alley

Does anyone have any info on va-11 hall-a release date?

youtube.com/watch?v=QkSN5ZlDQC8

Does anyone have one of those Dpad joycon shells? Is it better than the switch pro controller dpad?

mechstermination force. contra meets shadow of the colossus.

you can change the background colours.

Creature in the Well seemed mildly interesting.
