What 4k TV do you play your games on or are you at 1080p still?

What 4k TV do you play your games on or are you at 1080p still?
Anything to keep in mind before buying one?
Is it even worth it?

Seeing as how they are starting to be about the same price as a 1080p tv, you might as well.

Vizio 55in M-Series. Pretty fuckin slick and not too expensive.

>Anything to keep in mind before buying one?
What you are seeing there is a tube.

4K is getting cheap, because retailers are making room for 8K.

But which one?
And are there even non Spy/Smart TVs with a 4k resolution

You just know.

Vizio 65" D-series.

The fuck is Vizio

I'll invest in 4k when public tv starts broadcasting in it.

Why not play games on it instead

Attached: Playstation 4.jpg (2448x3264, 1.27M)

>watching tv
We got an actual boomer here lads.

3 years after the PS5 comes out 4k will probably beworth it .

Nigga, im still at 720p

>4k broadcasting is finally coming to different states
Get ready my friend, while zoomer incels stream 720p fortnite/lepewdiepie shit, we'll be able to watch documentaries/80's films/twilight zone original at 4k

imagine how heavy that monster is

4k TV's aren't even that expensive.
I got mine on sale for $1000

Oh my god, what's wrong with your face!

I can't wait

So am I for the component and sweet scart ports.

Sometimes I only get sound and no picture on my TV when starting my PS4 because the TV fucks up with the resolution/scaling.
I then have to switch to my satelite dish as the source and back to the PS4 to get a picture.

This is a good thread to post my current dilemma. I need an opinion or two. I own a 4K TV, but my PC recently overheated and will not power on now. According to prices online it will cost either $1000 or $500 to fix it depending on whether the GPU or CPU cooked itself. I could get a PS4 Pro bundle with every game I'm interested in for those prices. The PC was just barely powerful enough to run games in 4K, with some games stuttering while others do 60fps consistently. Am I better off grabbing the PS4 Pro if I want some nice 4K gaming? I have a shitty laptop for my computer needs, mind you.

If anyone read all that, I love you and I will suck your dick but first I need opinions

Attached: 1532025513998.jpg (715x444, 132K)

like 50kg or so she doesn't look tall
I just want it for the celeb nude scenes

The PS4 Pros 4k is a meme.
If you want real 4k you will need a competend PC.
Also post your PCs specs you nasty slut

Attached: BitesizedSpanishIbis.webm (1280x720, 1.08M)

Welcome to society, mate. Where everyone are nothing but sheep

PS4 Pro games dont run st true 4k, they dont even reach 4k to begin with. Might as well go for an Xbox One X and even then it wont run at 60fps, you'll be forced to stick to 30fps for majority of games

So the PS4 slim doesn't do 4k at all?
The Xbone S at least does streaming in 4 k

Attached: 1.jpg (1280x853, 115K)

Thanks for your input, gentlemen. Sounds like my best bet is to get the PC functioning again.
>post your PCs specs you nasty slut
The specs aren't that good, i7 2600/RX 480/16GB RAM but all of my games were either playable 30+ fps or 60fps at 4K, certainly better than the PS4 Pro.

YOU JUST KNOW

>i7 2600/RX 480
Neither of those would cost you 500€ the fuck are you on about

Attached: 3 MSI Gens.jpg (2328x2300, 1.27M)

So can you get something decent for $500?

Attached: Casio_TV-880 2,1zoll 58 mm 39,600 Pixel.jpg (500x820, 66K)

4k TV's don't actually cost all that much. A really good 65n 4k tv will run around $300-$800.

I got an LG and I love it.

Also be sure that your PC can even handle shit at 4k. 1440p at 144hz over 4k at 60hz.

Why would I not take this opportunity to upgrade? The RX 480 is like $400 thanks to miners and my i7 is ludicrously expensive. Might as well drop the extra 200 if I have to buy new parts anyway

Don't connect it to your wifi and it can't spy on you.

Samsung's 8 series is like sub 600 bucks. Zero reason not to have a 4k tv to watch overrated movies while you play Miku at 4k res anons.

RX580 is 300$ canadian tax included.

>What 4k TV
It's a monitor because I am not a faggot console scrub

Attached: proconsole.webm (720x381, 2.35M)

I bought a 4K OLED to play on my Xbox One X AND YET i unironically ended up playing my Switch on it more so.

post your dva nerf gun

The RX 580 is 300€ and you can get a used i7 for under 100€.
Matter of fact I have 2 and can sell you one for 50€ you miserable piece of dogshit.

>EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Attached: image.jpg (396x292, 14K)

i've a 4k tv and i have never used it to play vidya because 40ms input lag

Why the fuck are you using a Sony TV as a monitor?

Attached: plskim.png (347x256, 172K)

But what do you all heve to keep in mind?
OLED, HDR, Hertz, Ports,

OLED still to this day has burn in. Fuck that shit.

That is my secondary rig I use on the weekends and that was last year now I have a normal Samsung 1080p monitor connected to it instead of the HP monitor.
The TV is hooked up to it through a 3m HDMI cable well to watch movies on it.

Attached: 20181002_133544.jpg (2322x4128, 886K)

Just connect a hdd to your tv. Most new-ish tvs support most formats.

Searching for the right episode/movie takes too long that way.
With my K400+the PC I am way faster

My xbox 360 still has a switch on the cable to turn on "HD"

thoughts on my setup?

Got a 4K LED Samsung TV
Pretty cheap for what it was.

>actually and unironically watching TV
For what purpose

Just fix your PC and you'll get more functionality. PS4 is a waste of money at this point.

Asus xb271hu
1440p all the way

pioneer elite kuro pro-101fd

I haven’t updated to 4K because the only good 4K TV that would match my TVs quality is a $4000 OLED.

t. people that watch garbage like video game streamers

imagine that it's winter you live in a small but decent apartment. you wake up it's nearly christmas you go to the local thrift store find this giant tv you ask your sweet petite gf to sti next to the tv to take a picture, you know she loves you to bits and you love her and no money in the world would could buy that.

Attached: wojak.jpg (1600x900, 77K)

Gee user, your mom lets you have TWO crts?

sorry guys, poorfag here with a silly question
but isnt too soon for gaming at 4k 144hz?
i mean, which cpu + gpu we should have to play, let's say, The Witcher 3 with no frame drops?
currently im enjoying a 21:9 monitor (2k, i think) with 75hz.

>those posters

Attached: wwe.jpg (10000x10000, 1.62M)

Yes, 4k is a novelty right now, and will continue to be for a long time.

I sell TVs for a living, ask me anything. If you're on a budget, the best bet would be one of those new Vizio P Series or a TCL 4K TV (under 1000 dollars). They have good deep blacks because of the VA panels and really good colors and input lag. If you're willing to shell out some more, the Sony A9F or Samsung's Q9 are pretty much the best TVs out there. Tho I'm biased towards the Q9 since I've seen burn in on pretty much every OLED in the store I work, however Sony's OLEDS last longer than LG's still.

I have a 4k Sony 55."
It's pretty nice. The contrast and black levels are good, and the motion doesn't judder, which most TVs frustratingly have
Honestly if you're wanting "The Experience," then get a projector and 7.1 surround sound and quality headphones. Whenever you're not playing vidya, watching porno on an 100 inch projected screen is GODLY

Cable/Sat can't even broadcast true 1080p

Attached: Cava6CL.jpg (480x270, 59K)

What do you think of s TV?

Skyrim special edition, Halo MCC and Oblivion

>1080p TV has a fuse or capacitor pop
>other options are smartshit, had to fucking register it before I could use it

I can't even be excited about getting a new TV anymore goddamn.

Attached: 1462904814637.jpg (1570x1536, 396K)

Terrible lmao. I looked it up and saw that it has HDMI 1.3 (we're at 2.0 already which is the 4K/60f standard), the frequency is 60Hz (so goodbye high frame rates and hello choppy video or really bad interpolation) and it's just 1080p. For 4500 dollars you could get a 2019 Q9 or even the new Sony XG95 with their new X1 Ultimate processor. Both of which have 120Hz of frequency with relatively good frame interpolation techniques (Motionflow, etc...) and are full array LEDs

Forgot to add user, and sorry for being mean, but even the shittiest LG and Samsung entry lines (UK and RU models) have better resolution, color, inputs and screen reflection than that monstrosity and they cost less than 15% of that

How's this TV, Jake from Best Buy?

I always witness Plebbitors heralding this as the champion of budget TVs. Are they on to something, or is it just a glorified piece of shit?

>sell TVs
>knows nothing about pioneer elite.

Not the guy you're asking but I have this tv myself and it's pretty good. Use it with my xbox one x. Does everything I need it to. You might have to calibrate the hdr though as when I used it I had to mess with the settings.

>color

You were right about all them but this one.

Yup, those are the ones. Some even have Android OS in them if you care about those things. The plebbitors are right on this

>What 4k TV do you play your games on
Samsung UE55, I also use it as a monitor.

>Is it even worth it?
Yes.

what you guys think about ultra widescreen monitors?
it really helps at some games.

It looks like the TV is well balanced, but it looks like it stutters worse than a dimwit when playing bluray movies. Nonetheless, it seems to be the ideal console TV for my guest/game room
kthnxbye

BIG
BLACK
CRT

LG 55" OLED. Can't beat the color and frame rate on it. Worth $4500? yes.

thats the same gpu with a higher voltage you retarded dog fucker

look for vega 56 deals. its reduced to $250 since the gtx1660 dumpster fire came out. vega 56 easily matches upto rtx2060 for half the price.
