Release a DLC

> DLC is actually better than the game itself

is it really "DLC"?
it's more like a full expansion/prequel, even to the point of having a proper physical retail release.

From the way people were hyping it up I was sure it'd be better, but it really wasn't. It's like 80% filler tacked on to 20% good shit that's all at the end.

The only good thing about it is the ending

Well, duh. It was originally part of the main game but was removed because they felt it wasn't neccessary and ruined the pacing of the game. The game feeling like 80% padding is inevitable.

But they didn't remove it because it wasn't necessary or ruined the pacing, they just realized early on in development that they wouldn't have enough time to include it.
And I don't see how that's supposed to excuse so much of the DLC feeling like padding.

>Part of the main game
>All different playable characters

How was that going to work?

We don't really know. Since it was apparently going to be a much shorter segment between chapters instead of a full expansion, I can imagine that Lora or Jin would be the only playable characters and the others would just be NPCs.

Is this less cringey than the main game?

For the most part, yes.

Yes but it's soulless

it's japanese, so no

It was though and doesn't have any filler.

It's arguably better than the main game, and the main game is amazing as is.

Chronicles and X were the only good ones and X came out for the most disappointing console ever, plus the series would unironically be better on better consoles/PC because they are trying to craft an immersive world. That doesn't work on toasters like the WiiU or plastic childrens tablets like Switch. BotW shows that.

X was fucking garbage

This. Imagine a Chronicles game with a Bloodborne tier aesthetic and fast 60fps combat. Fuck Nintendo for locking actual good devs to their mediocre hardware.

>Monolith
>actual good devs
Never had such a hearty laugh, thanks user.

Just beat Torna. Its okay
>great vanguard rearguard system
>horrible padding forcing you to do sidequests to progress
>story being a prequel ends in the most depressing way possible

There weren't that many different characters though. Almost all the models are already in the game in some form.

>story being a prequel ends in the most depressing way possible
It could've been much more depressing. They didn't even bother showing Lora's death.

Because it was originally suppose to be a short interlude between, I think, chapter 6 to 7, to show Jin's and Mythra's backstory. Making a full DLC campaign out of an originally short segment requires a lot of padding.

It's not

Blood and Wine is better than main game Witcher 3
prove me wrong.
