It's weird. I've always disliked Linkara and thought he was a faggot. But when Mister Metakour did a video on the guy, I always thought he came across as way too harsh and was straight-up unfair at points.

I enjoy a good review shitting on something I think is bad, but personally I've always kinda disliked it when a reviewer seems to have gone into a game/movie ready to hate it.

Marzgurl recently started an internet crusade against said VA, claiming he'd sexually assaulted people. The twitter lynch mob got whipped up, and as a result he got dropped from a few roles and conventions.
Unfortunately for them, the guy actually has a spine, so he lawyered up and is ready to sue them into oblivion for defamation and tortious interference.

Practically none existed outside a few videos of him enthusiastically hugging people, which is where Linkara comes in. You see, they didn't bother actually asking the people involved in the videos what their opinion was, and when they surfaced it turned out the hugging was perfectly consensual. It's a little confusing because he titles his videos like the Good Episodes and the Bad Episodes, it's a little misleading because he goes into detail about what went into production in both of them during their good times and bad times (meaning post censorship and after), so he doesn't make like a top 10 of best episodes or bs like that.

I disagree, AVGN up to episode 85-90 still holds up and i still rewatch it because it perfectly translates a lot of feelings that I had as a kid playing those games and couldn't express at the time. That's why usually his "Good game" episodes like castelvania are the best ones and it's also why the quality started to decline once he had made an episode on every popular game he had played, now he just plays shitty games for the sake of it and it's not funny
