Tolkki became a hack right after Elements Pt1, both Pt2 and Self-titled were garbage and then he left the band. He literally hasn't done anything decent since (Revolution Renaissance, Symfonia, Avalon and probably something else I just don't remember).
Polaris was mediocre and Elysium was just decent but Nemesis and Eternal are way better than the last 2 Tolkki's albums and on par with Infinite so no, they are at least as good as 2000's Stratovarius
