World of Warcraft was never good and was nothing more than a skinner box played by third worlders at smelly internet cafes too poor to afford real games.

we're still going home

>too poor to afford real games
World of Warcraft was technically more expensive to play than any other game back in 2004. It was 50 bucks and then 15 per month, pretty shitty bait thread, OP.

That's World of Warcraft now. Back then it was primarily a burger game due to subscrition.

>tfw over the years must have spent thousands of buckaroos into WoW

But Runescape was the game of choice for people to poor to afford WoW.

Little late to the party

It also had more soul

YOU

You zoomers are so ignorant, you make me question the nature of man.

Classic MUST fail
I didn't collect over 10000 achievement points, 400 mounts, 1000 pets and 5000 transmogs just for it to become worthless
Fuck you and your nostalgia fetishism, it's 2019 and we must look forward, not backwards to the dark ages of the Bush presidency

back then it was primarily a china game because they didn't pay subscription they paid by the hour at internet cafes.

>seething discord trannies orbiting classic threads because they know retail is god awful

Classic represents the past, toxic masculinity and elitism
Retail represents the future, progress and LGBT inclusiveness

You will lose

Serious question: What exactly is the future of this game?

I mean, we all know Classic is releasing this summer and obviously many people are excited for it but what is going to happen to retail?

Sub numbers in BFA dropped like no tomorrow, what exactly is Blizzard planning to do about this?

Games are supposed to be skinner boxes bruh you're not doing work

Retail has just as toxic masculinity and elitism. If you ever tried to join a raid you'd know that.

they'll just release a new expansion and try to fix the mistakes they did, emphasis on the word try.

I'm more concerned about classic. It doesn't seem to have a realistic long term goal. Eventually the content will dry up and then what? Make a TBC classic? Same problem occurs where content eventually dries up. Then you repeat for WOTLK and same problem happens. I highly doubt Blizzard will make new content for classic servers because then they'll have TWO mmos to work on developing new stuff and you've already seen them struggle and flop only managing ONE.

>Naga Gave Us Harpies
I think this was funny, once, when someone first thought of it back in 2007.
Seeing it sported by this absolute wreck of a person in 2019 just makes me feel like low IQ mouthbreathers like this aren't human, just undignified mindless cattle that need to be hooked up to a machine to harvest their organs

They'll simply downsize their team and keep on reusing assets, anyone who still plays retail is guaranteed to play it until their death

Don't forget the chinese still love it, there's a reason why they made a pig mount and the PTR had chinese loading screens by default

i remember being extremely jealous of my friends who got to play WoW while i was stuck with wc3, runescape and flash games

That guild environment actually seems pretty good as long as people actually talk

>emphasis on the word try.

Until major changes occur in the management, this game will never get better

At least with private servers they did "fresh restart" servers to reset everyones progress. I can't imagine Blizzard doing the same thing because it would piss off a lot of players to have to start all over after putting 1000 hours into the game.

>highly doubt Blizzard will make new content for classic servers because then they'll have TWO mmos to work on

runescape adds new stuff to classic and the main version. if classic is extremely popular and/or surpasses retail in players, theyll have to make new content for classic eventually to keep the money flowing

I wonder who could be behind this post

Can't wait to double dip with classic and retail and unleash my full autism.

but since WoW is a vertical progression themepark MMO, adding this new content means they will have to rebalance the classes to accommodate the new content due to the natural power gap increase and if you seen the modern Blizzard balance retail then it will be shitshow for classic.

thats true. they might end up killing it with stupid updates like retail. who knows? maybe theyll learn from their mistakes

they might try their hand at horizontal progression
