grigsby games are fun. They don't actually require that much autism to play, all of the bookkeeping and fluff is automated so for the most part the player handles moving, attacking, and assignment.

The tutorials are notoriously shit at giving you the basic understanding of what's going on in the ui and what are the first steps to take in a new game
But once you get past that one threshold, and it's not a high one mind you, you can play the game just fine knowing only the basics
The rest is actually just playing and learning what works and reacting to shit the game throws at you
Just search whatever gs title tutorial on youtube, watch some 10 minute vid of some nigga playing the starting steps of a game while explaining what he's doing and you're good to go

I would say Hoi4 is a step back compared to 3 and 2. Kaiserreich mod is interesting but can't make it great. Vicky 2 is still installed. Any newer version will likely be trash. Stellaris seemed neat at first but after playing it you'll quickly grow bored. Whoever said CK2 is a meme game was spot on.

Only if you use the Expert AI mod.
Vanilla AI is braindead and you can just draw an arrow on the map to win the war.

The only part that might be considered fun is the early exploration phase, and even that only really amounts to pressing the "research anomaly" button every once in a while.
