On the flipside, people who project expectations on games are often disappointed and perceive flaws that only exist when wanting the game to be something it's not. Those who can enjoy an "imperfect" game for what it is are the lucky ones.

You can enjoy an imperfect game but if the only way you can enjoy games is by "turning your brain off" you need to be shot. Some modern games such as persona 5 have many MANY easily fixable flaws

On the flipflipside, people who justify and defend games with easily fixable flaws because "you're just acting entitled, the game doesn't have to fit your expectations, no game can be perfect" only serve to perpetuate laziness in the games industry by telling game companies that it's okay to half ass their new games because consumers will eat it up regardless of whether or not it's full of shit.
