Safe class SCP's are honestly some of the best. My favourite SCP is SCP-241. It's simple and it's test feel complete like they researches actually tested all their theories too see if they are correct.

Containment Breach is terrifying on blind playthroughs, but with enough game knowledge you can abuse the fuck out of items and enemy AI to become an immortal being with future sight. It is essentially the Morrowind of horror games.

I went ahead and read both versions of 049, and I appreciate them both for different reasons. The original is mysterious. You do not know just what he means by the cure, what he even means by a plague (although likely referring to the Black Death), you can't tell when he's lying or even lying to himself. The rewrite I think takes away from a lot of the interpretation, but plays to that strength. I liked the interviews, at least the voice acting sells it. But it feels like it goes on and on even though the tone was set and it tries to establish "he's more or less a good guy" in the same way like 10 times. Meanwhile in the original you had involvement with 035; offscreen text that can mean so much in defining his motives. Heck, SCP-035's motives are even important there. I like the original better, but I do appreciate what a more fleshed out SCP-049 looks like. Remember there is no canon.

If you were to show a piece of text to a baby, or a dog, do you think they would understand it as text? What probably happens is they just see a piece of paper, as they do not fully comprehend what text is at all.
So it's a natural predator to humans that uses this system to fully camouflage. It's not invisible nor it directly controls the brain in any way. The predator's natural shape and form just causes humans to not perceive the idea of itself at all. Viewing it and interacting with one means you are not aware that you are doing so, and to a person, it looks like nothing is there, the idea of it existing flows like water through a strainer.
Other animals can see it just fine and see it as an obvious danger. The predator lives through cities, as he has available food whenever he wants, and hunts day or night, waiting for a human to be fully alone so he can make the jump without alerting people.
