Don't you at least read through the descriptions of games before you let your mental disabilities ruin them for you?

>Turn-based
Requires you to plan every action in advance, deep strategy
>Real-time
Just mash buttons lol

HRT rots your brain.
40%

>deep strategy
I take neither side here, but don't kid yourself.

Try SMT instead. FF is kinda known to be surface level shit

>turn based
just ooga booga your way out by spamming damaging move
>real time
just ooga booga your way out with shots to the head
>RTS
just ooga booga your way out with top tier units

I'll look into it. You should look into finding better action games.

real time is just a balancing act, whoever can do the most things at once wins

SMT literally has an auto button, so you don't even to hold the button to win -- you just win with one button press. SMT is the baby food of JRPG franchises.

>I take no side here
>posts cherry picked webm of a fight that's free for story reasons from the most entry level jrpg ever complete with a name meant to start flamewars in FFXV threads

Plz try harder. Your b8 is barely above the umaru and 40% poster.

lol please try the auto button on any boss.

>lposted a webm of my literal favorite game
Yeah, I take no side here. Turn based can be fun, so can action games. And there's a lot of mundane shit to be found in each. You're a retard if you put either form on a pedestal.

Buying a game is a turn based experience. How can you make that mistake?

Shin Megami

Forced depth. But considering the genre it isn't a bad thing.

>start JRPG
>read 20+ minute unskippable intro
>start 1st level
>it's a forced tutorial where the game pauses before and after each action
>first set of instructions teach you how the controller works
>second set of instructions introduces you to the actual game mechanics
>third set of instructions introduces you to advance gameplay and shows you the game-specific gimmick(s) that you won't unlock until tens of hours later and you forget how it works
>remember why you stopped playing JRPGs and don't touch the genre until the next console generation

Do some product research kid, and the best games are turn based, like Xcom
Have you got an action game on par with strategy in Xcom?

Why buy a game without doing any sort of research about what kind of game it is?

>start new game

You have to be autistic to play these dull games, holy kek.

Auto makes every character to do basic physical attacks. Considering pretty much every SMT starts throwing enemies that null/reflect physical around halfway through, Auto is 50% of the time just a fancy suicide button.

A lobotomy-fag. Greetings.

>Not knowing what style of gameplay a game has before going in
Based retard.

Did you ever think about not playing bottom of the barrel entry-level shit? You're also retarded for playing a JRPG and not expecting that you're going to read and watch a lot of stuff
