CG is fine when it's done well, but the backbone of animation studios is taking shortcuts to save money and stay on schedule. The tools to help animators keep their work consistently high quality don't exist yet, or at the very least aren't affordable or quick to implement by these studios. Sometimes the result is some pretty jank shit that would have been better off being animated in a more traditional way that the animators have experience with.

They'll just try to integrate it into 2d as much as possible or in a more flexible way. Like Gridman using GC to emulate how Ultraman fights with the suit actors also not have to be limited by real life so make the fights look more dynamic. Or Promare straight up making the entire world 3D except the humans. Or HnKs entire thing.
