New Vegas

this never gets old

just like buckley's baby

Unironically mh3u. You get stationed on a backwater island that seems sleepy and completely stable, then things start ramping up as monsters become bigger and more aggressive. Then you find out that the guild has written off the island completely, dooming it to the fate of a god-like an elder dragon that they refuse to confront and you realize that you can't just let that happen to these people who have embraced you, a complete outsider who has become their champion. People talk a lot about MH games' plots being irrelevant but MH3U was my first and damn it, it moved me.
