?
They're making Nioh 2? Holy crap. I mean... It will be outclassed by Sekiro, but it's nice to have a little side-distraction.

>game we haven't seen anything of is automatically great
Cool, hope it's good
>FROMfag needs to shove his shit game everywhere
Can you like, fuck off?

Nioh is a welfare From game.

If it's running in a better frame rate and has better animation than it's automatically better than any FROM game

Fuck Nioh 2, where's my Toukiden 3 with romancable companions, KT?

>2019
lol no
Even if the game could be finished in 2019, I doubt they’d want it released the same year as Sekiro.

Why is that? Sekiro is already out, and it's clear as day light both these games won't win GOTY award

Because players could get tired of samurai stuff.

I loved Nioh and I can't wait for Nioh 2. But you're kidding yourself if you think it will be out this year. Team Ninja have only just finished slapping together DOA6. We'll probably get a trailer at E3 and TGS for release early next year.

>Vaporvein

Nioh was the shit, I'm glad to play more weeaboo fightan games after I finished Sekiro.

>2019
no way in hell man

*2023

>moves aside at the slightest hint of competition
ftfy

more like never comes out

Except it isn't retard. You get unlimited fps with sekiro. Don't tell me you're a consolepoor

can't be worse than snorekiro

>2019
God I wish

Dumbest excuse. If anything, Sekiro will only get people more hype for Nioh 2 because they'll probably want more samurai action games and Nioh is more traditional souls compared to sekiro, look at all the soulsfags complaining that Sekiro isn't literally just samurai souls

yawn, I'm tired of feudal japan now

Honestly Nioh entertained me much longer than Sekiro.
Sekiro, once you realize you can just mash L1 to be fine most of the time, there really isn't that much to it, and most enemies start to feel the same, it doesn't matter if it's human or a literal monkey or a big nigger attacking you.
Nioh had so much shit to manage and ways to play that the game completely change it's style when you hit NG+ levels (so once your build is fully realized) and then it had DLC content that was actually using the NG+ gameplay
And I was never bored before this. Meanwhile I'm struggling to finish Sekiro since everything after the Senpou temple was boring so far and the gameplay is still the same shit no matter how much skill points you use.

Will it even come out this year?

weeb

I really, really enjoyed Nioh despite its bland levels and all. It was an amazing game. That said, they're going to have to really step it the fuck up to beat Sekiro.

If it comes out in 2019 that means they're reusing assets like crazy

good concept, bad artstyle and visuals

>most enemies start to feel the same
Lol coming from a game that had only like 10 enemies in the base game. The amount of history revisionst I'm seeing lately.

is that this year?

>That said, they're going to have to really step it the fuck up to beat Sekiro.
They're really two different games.

just the way the industry works unfortunately

They also share a ton of similarities. I'm probably buying Nioh 2 unless they somehow manage to Ninja Gaiden 3 it, but they got some fierce competition this time.

The strategies were widely different between each of them though and the gameplay on your side is much more complex than in sekiro where's ennemies are everything and Wolf has nothing really interesting for himself to master.

No idea, there's a gameplay trailer from 9 months ago on Youtube so I can see it some time at the end of this year or early next year.
I think the biggest issue was that it doesn't feel good to play, I can't put my finger on it but I thinks it's something to do with the animation and the responsiveness of the controls. It's not as bad as Lords of the Fallen in that regard, so hopefully they get to the bottom of it before 2 comes out.

Sekiro took more similarities from Nioh than Dark Souls lmao.

I don't see how. I think you're desperate to argue about Nioh and From's games being the same type of game or not, and I don't really care for that discussion.

>but they got some fierce competition this time.
What competition? Nioh 2 won't be out anytime soon considering they haven't even showed a single screenshot of it yet.

He's talking about Ghosts of Hiroshima or whatever.

No I think they're different games but if we're comparing, Sekiro looks like it took more from Nioh than any of from's previous games

>Nioh thread
>REEEEEEEEEE SEKIRO SUCKS WHY DOES IT EXISTS NIOH IS BETTER REEEEE
Why are nioh fags like this? Yikes

you my son are a fucking brainlet.

>ghost of sushi
>fierce competition
lmao

Weren't we supposed to get new info at the start of 2019?

Looks like shit

It didn't, it's fairly different from Nioh. Not just the combat but the levels themselves and how you traverse them.
The overall style has the whole feudal japan thing going, but there's only so many different ways you can do pagodas and shit.

(you)

Yes. "early 2019" supposedly

>Implying I meant main mechanics
You're such a brainlet

Then what did you mean, spergboy?

>dude let's make a weeb dark souls game but add a diablo loot system
>also here's some magic that utterly breaks the game
pass

Is it a diablo loot system just because they flood you with items you don't need and become useless 5 minutes later? It's still missing the inventory system that made diablo's so satisfying.

Magic is basically just a way to adjust difficulty. Literally only retards abuse magic to make fights braindead easy. I hope next game they don't split up skill points tho

>Literally only retards abuse magic to make fights braindead easy.
Now I'm sad. Almost done with my first playthrough, should I do NG+ without magic?

Nioh is somehow even worse than DaS2
At least I finished DaS2, Nioh I dropped after yuki onna because of how boring it was. Would be nice if sequel is better.

to be fair, the assets they had looked pretty darn good.
they just need to capitalize on making more enemies, balance stuff like guardians spirits and certain X damage up upgrades better and they are golden

the only REALLY broken spell is sloth for magic and the revive scroll for ninja, everything else you can abuse without feeling like a shitter

Well it depends on what kind of magic, if you start every boss fight spamming 5 spells to buff you and debuff your enemy, you're a shitter but if you use basic spells like spirit attacks, elemental boosts or attacks, etc then you're fine. I think even other spells used sparingly are good other than sloth. I mean at the end of the day it's fine to be a shitter if you enjoy the game but you really aren't getting the whole experience if you cut through enemies like butter because of magic. Niohs enemies while few, are really well designed ESPECIALLY bosses and the less health they have and the less damage you take, the less you get to see all that makes them good and fun to fight

We might not even get guardian spirits desu, the trailer hints at becoming demons so that might replace the spirit system.

one of those "games" you know is gonna be trash even before actual release

>We might not even get guardian spirits
i can see them making the demon transformation customizable to some extent in the same way

yeah who knows for sure but I really wanna know what they have planned, the trailer was interesting but doesn't tell us enough. Literally the only confirmed feature we know about Nioh 2 is being able to customize are player character instead of being a set protagonist like wirriam. We know they want to improve a lot along with adding stuff they wanted in the first game but that's not specific stuff.

It is going to hit every single anime cliche ever. It will be glorious.

Diablo loot system only happens on NG++, gear is irrelevant in NG, even in NG+ so stop with ur brainless statement.

t. 17 y.o.

Man, I wish gear did matter in NG but at the same time I hate the diablo shit. I like what they have in place, I just hate the RNG. I don't want to grind to get cool effects on my gear that can heavily affect my playstyle.

Makes sense. I got really frustrated by the game and dropped it for a long time so I had kind of a spiteful mentality toward it and just wanted to beat it however I could. Magic made it much easier to farm Warrior of the West smithing texts so then I was sold on it. I tried to mix up my skills and try different shit but now that you mention it Sloth is pretty fucking broken huh. Now that I feel a little better at action games I'll drop it I think.

Yes, just like TLOU or Tomb Raider or Smash.

>Playing Nioh 1
>No problem going through the normal game
>DLC is balanced for people who are already over NG+
I want to finish DLC but holy shit I have to grind only to not get oneshotted by the broken bosses perma-living weapons

Attached: 1455565015405.jpg (200x199, 8K)

Bruh, just use confuse on literally everything. They give you the ability to switch weapons on the fly specifically so you can load up a weapon with a different element, apply confuse, and triple your damage output on anything

Attached: C0A73604-F0BB-4283-A0F0-65663092B7B4.png (390x330, 152K)

Confuse doesn't work on the DLCs living weapon bosses sadly, they get the status but it does nothing on them

Just dodge, brah. Their stamina drains automatically in living weapon then you get free damage.

>farming
don't
a lot of people that i talked with that didn't like the game said that there was too much farming.
farming is not necessary, i'm a 100% completionist autist and i finished every single mission in every single difficulty while picking up all the loot i could manage in every single level and even i didn't play a single mission more than once, it's really not worth it, going up to the next mission scales the xp/loot you get much faster than you could by farming a single spot.

not to mention that for NG you don't even need armor/weapon sets bonuses, i'd say start caring about those on NG+3 onwards

until then, you can perfectly manage by just slapping the highest damage weapon you can find that matches the type you like

Damn, its been a while since i played it. Maybe get better armor? Confuse was my answer to everything i remember so now i got nothin

iktf, i'm in NG++ and i'm still not at a good enough player and gear level to get through the 2nd DLC. I get why they did it, for the autists that actually played through each NG+ mode but it's annoying for anyone who got the game afterwards or who stopped playing after NG/NG+ and tried to go back when the DLCs came out

The worst is that I was okay with just going to the Abyss, since it got you good stuff and lots of amrita easily, but now it prevents me from going further in until I finish NG+

every sekiro thread since announcement has had a niohfag in it, they're similar enough games that comparisons are inevitable

You can kind of skip NG+ if you know what you're doing. It's been awhile since I did it but iirc, you can unlock regions and missions a lot fucking quicker in NG+, you don't play it 100% like NG where you play each story mission 1 by 1 in order to progress. iirc you have to complete a certain amount of missions in one region to unlock the next or somethign? idk but I remember not even doing half of the missions and did the final final mission (queens eyes) severely underleveled to unlock NG++ so I could more quickly get to better gear and i'd get more amirita from enemies. The final boss is really easy to take out underleveled he just has a fuck huge health bar and can 1-2 shot you, the only hard part is the enemies that come before him. It's probably even worth cheesing with magic shit if you have the good ones unlocked. Definitely look into how to progress faster in NG+ though because I forgot exactly how it works, I just know you don't need to do story missions in order to unlock each mission and each region

>they're similar enough games that comparisons are inevitable
Is this some new meme I'm not aware of?
And you are wrong btw

>The final boss is really easy to take out underleveled he just has a fuck huge health bar and can 1-2 shot you, the only hard part is the enemies that come before him
My biggest issue with the final boss is that the game fucking crashed all the time in that specific mission. IIRC I had to set the game to 720p fullscreen to not make it crash, or some fuckery like that. Fuck KT.

similar enough on the surface, as in they're both difficult over the shoulder weeb katana games

Works on my machine

Looks like a cheap Chinese Dark Souls knock off.

More like a generic anime I'm 10000000 years old and I'm 10000 times more powerful than the sun and 2 times more than uchiha madara

Seriously, if in the first gameplay video there's the same looting shit, it will be a hard pass from me.
Still baffles me they thought scaling the DLC on people that grinded ng+ was a good idea.

Ok, name a vampire anime that's in a post apocalyptic settings
