>play game on console >joystick can move 360 degrees freely >tilt joystick slightly up >character moves slowly forward
>play game on pc >can only move in 8 directions if only using the movement keys >press down w key (no inbetween) >character always moves at the same speed unless there is a designated sprint key
This raises a good point Most games have a designated walk key but it's surprising that there aren't mechanical keyboards with pressure sensitive keys for stuff like this

But digital movement is actually better in a lot of games?
most games will filter down joystick input to about 32 directions and two or three magnitudes

Based thread. Consoles win again.

Mouse is better for aiming and menu navigation, yes. But aim assist exists and it's a level playing field on console anyway. I dont have anything for the menus tho. Luckily I dont play these types of games much.
Roleplaying, obviously

Heh, cucks.

>play on PC >do half an a press >character moves at half speed to the left
Like Splinter Cell where movement speed is controlled by the mouse wheel. Worked really well.

>But aim assist exists and it's a level playing field on console anyway the ceiling is much lower on console since the thumbsticks have objectiv limits. on pc there is a much larger gap between pro players and average joe

>>pay 3x as much for PC >pay for games on sales like they always are (or just fucking pirate) >actually save money >prettier games >KB+M is better for most games >otherwise compatibility with pretty much any controller you want >get actually far more exclusives than consolecucks >tfw even Japs are focusing on PC now
Gavin Bennett
It is objectively true that there are a huge amount of games you can play on a PC that will never see the light of day on a console. "Exclusives" go further than just what a company was paid to publish ok n that platform.

>but aim assist exists with this point you just prove console is inferior than PC

>tilt joystick slightly up >character moves slowly forward I wouldn't call that an objective advantage, having a dedicated sprint/walk key allows for a greater degree of precision. That's an issue I have in general with analog movement, it's imprecise.
