I legit just started saying typing in in-game chats on GMod and TF2 and such. Then I started commenting a lot on all sorts of media. As I got likes, my confidence was building. Then I started finding a game I new a lot about and just typed about it in chat (usually complaining). Eventually was invited to a 2k text chat. Made new friends. Talk a lot now in voice chat in games.
