I remember playing WoW in high school just after BC came out. It was basically a cultural phenomenon at that point. Pretty much half my school played WoW, all on 2 or 3 diff servers, jocks, nerds, stoners, music kids, theatre fags, all coming together over a stupid game. I miss those days, and I doubt anything will ever come close to that again.

Reality is classic will bring out some nostalgia and then flop into nothingness. It lacks content, polish, major QoL and everything is being time-gated. With current tech and knowledge it's going to be very easy to bypass all the shit quests and get cap quickly. It's all easy now with cookie cutter builds that are known to work and BiS gear because we now know how stats work. There will be guides to tell you how to do it all from start to finish. And then everyone will be bored because there's nothing to do bu 3 end game dungeons and 1 easy raid.

Aside from the obvious bait posting by salty retail cucks, i'll have to admit they have a single point in no new content being released.
I'm genuinely worried as to how Blizzard will make this work in the long run. Just release TBC again? I mean, okay i guess, but it is pretty bizarre how were literally moving back in time. I'd honestly just prefer new content being released WITHIN vanilla, but how the fuck would that work? I guess Blizz could put a storyline about "muh time machines n shit" out of their ass to justify it.
The future is looking dark, yet enjoyable.
