Let's be honest, they're going to find a way to fuck it up somehow. The question is, how? I'm not talking Denuvo or being forced to make a Microsoft account, but something much bigger. Thoughts/ideas?

they already fucked up by announcing this shit out of the blue, keeping absolutely silent, and then not releasing a goddamn thing for a month already
Do we have a release date ? Also they could fuck it up with input lag or something.
this, emulated mouse controls
no dedicated servers
have to use microsoft account
cant change controls without turning off the game
forced vsync
60 fov
completely unreasonable system requirements
buggy connections that they will never fix
i hope im wrong though, i could definitely be wrong
over half of that list has already been addressed
>announced that it will be episodical
>"they're going to find a way to fuck it up somehow"
I don't know OP
Tencent is their main competition now, Tencent will pay for an army of sweatshop cheaters to play the game 24/7
Tencent want to make steam look bad and they want to try encourage their players to block China.
The beta will roll out this month apparently.
>Tencent is their main competition
I love this narrative in which Epic is somehow above the likes of Origin when competing with Steam.
Once the beta for reach goes live, a lot of these questions will be answered, and that's slated for summer sometime.
>wants to wait 1+ years for entire package of 5 games
>not knowing this new generation of gamers and old PC gamers never touched a Halo game.
>giving new players 5 games all at once to overload them of Halo before even reaching Halo 3.
>implying tencent needs to even bother doing this
>implying this won't just happen based on how their culture is
lol
This all sounds plausible. I think 343 "claimed" that this would be tailored for the PC audience, but their word isn't worth shit these days.
Does that mean you pay $60 for MCC but have to wait for each Halo game (i.e. the whole game)? If so that's not the end of the world, but it's still kinda shitty.
What about Origin? GoG? Uplay?
I'm just glad MS is moving away from their own shitty store. God, that was almost worse than uplay.
Tencent owns 45% of Epic and just launched their own steam launcher yesterday. They effectively buy exclusives on both of these launchers to keep steam locked out completely.

No no race of people cheats on their own (there is very little cheating on the chinese launchers), the company pays sweatshops of people peanuts to cheat in order to destroy the competition. Same as they pay armies of rmt to farm gold in mmorpgs.
They won't do it to uplay because...they own shares in ubisoft and they are allies. Steam is a private company, they can't buy them out of ((invest)) in them.
Tencent got really pissed off with Steam after PUBG because armies of Chinese people started to install it at that point. Now Tencent is at war with Valve and they will use all the nasty dirty shit you can imagine, stuff western companies aren't allowed to do. That includes paying hundreds of thousands of sweatshop cheaters to play steam games to annoy everyone.
Their goal is to a) make steam shit and "cheat infested" and b) try and make valve block china (since china is their home ground and they don't want chinese people playing on steam)
No memes, if they actually optimized the store and had good UI, Microsoft would have made a fucking killing with the Windows store. I have no clue why they made it as shit as possible. They are fucking retards. The install base they have is ridiculously huge and they just pissed it away, they learned NOTHING from Games for Windows Live
It's going to be cheaper on windows store, or part of game pass or something. And I'll probably get it there if it is, I don't care about my steam friends anyway
Luckily enough just a little reminder about some event happened in 1989 is enough to make them disconnect
There's a possible way of fucking the game up: segregating the Steam & Windows Store userbase. I'm calling it now.
This
They should have given a release date.
Or have it available at the announcement.
Microsoft PR is the worst in the tech industry.
>criminally low amount of info released about the game
>people discuss it on Yea Forums without even knowing everything that has been revealed so far
they're releasing the games one at a time in chronological order, meaning that they're starting with Reach, moving onto CE, and so on
you'll need an Xbox account to play the game, but you won't need to pay money for a live subscription in order to play online (confirmed by a 343 dev on Reddit)
Forge and other extra modes won't be available out the gate, but there are plans to bring them out eventually, it seems that they're focussing on the campaigns for the moment
a big focus they mentioned was PC QoL improvements like fov, ultrawide res support and rebindable key-mappings
what else am I missing?
>Microsoft PR is the worst in the tech industry
>ilovebees.com
>Halo 2 launch parties
>Halo 3 launch parties
>Halo 3 advertisements
>Halo 5 guardians hunt the truth
I just want to buy my copy and play tro the campaigns. All of this is multiplayerfags fault's and the need to channel the playerbase into certain game at a given time.
does the mcc on xbone have microtransactions?
some of the eldewrito team are being consulted with regards to possible mod support in the future
They've already fucked up by announcing this outta fucking no where and then not mentioning anything about it besides the beta they're doing this month. (which only a small handful of people are actually gonna be able to play)
why wasn't this announced during E3?
Probably this year it will be.
FORZA ON STEAM WHEN?
Windows store crap doesn't run on wine
are these really the games that linuxfags play?
They already fucked up the hype with no launch date.
Personally I would have led with releasing CE: Anniversary campaign out of the blue with the announcement of the collection and then saying Reach is next.
ilovebees was run by bungie staff not mircrosoft
those are all examples of marketing not PR
hunt the truth was fucking awful
it's just going to be a shitty backport of the xbone collection with all its problems and lack of support amplified even worse
eldewrito died for this
sage
>have to use microsoft account
>60 fov
>buggy connections that they will never fix
These are the only real issues that are likely to happen.
>Microsoft PR is the worst in the tech industry.
>DEVELOPERS DEVELOPERS DEVELOPERS
>Halo 5 Guardians Hunt for the Truth
>actual game reveals it was all a fat load of bullshit ending in one of the lamest fights ever
>Halo 5 campaign's writing generally regarded as the worst in the series, a part of which is anger from being outright lied to
