UNIST Thread
Pass is vee
EVO early reg ends today, but it's probably a bit late to tell you unless you do it right the hell now
w-which one do i post in
>There's another thread
Goddamn it
Do you guys think learning SamSho will help develop good fundamentals to use in UNIST?
Fundamentals tend to carry over but they're very different games
Is it viable to use Enkidu's j.CC in mid-screen or is it saved only for corner combo setups?
My guess is you have to etiher CS or EX divekick to get a midscreen combo out of it?
dead game
jCC should strictly be used as a combo tool for corner carry combos midscreen, unless someones got some really funky tech with it to catch people off guard. I've seen it used in the corner for combo into VO purposes.
>CS or ex-divekick to combo out of it
236A is fast and has the reach to combo out of it as does 66C.
>that leap frog DP setup
Fun times, hahaha.
Cool, thanks for the in-dpeth info.
I saw I could kill with it and was feeling cheeky.
Maybe I should have reset my router before thread time
Whew, I wish I hadn't DPed in that round 1 after looking back at the combo timer haha.
I though UNIST was due for 2020 main stage, am I crazy? I don't think I go yet due to life circumstances.
It's for this year's EVO.
Hippie calm down with the slides man, stop making me feel bad for playing gordeau with you around.
2018 Anime EVO for unist already happened, I would know since I was there.
It's 2019, the announcement was made February and it's happening this August
The slides are my nightmare, one must learn to fear their own moveset to know what really works against others.
Plus I kept whiffing all of them in my combos so I'll probably call it that on Gord tonight
Hey Hippie, you went to Evo last year right? Is the Sunday pass worth buying or can I save some cash?
If I had to guess the only lock ins for 2020 at this point are SFV, Tekken, Smash Ultimate, and probably Granblue Fantasy because Cygame$$$$$$$
It would be awesome to see UNI get enough audience to survive to 2020 but I guess only time will tell
Holy shit, I actually confirmed a ground kuuga combo online. This weekend was worth it.
Time to actually grind the optimal version again then.
Also, mentioned it in the other thread, but I'll be seeing you guys at EVO.
Fuuuuck. I have to think about what I'm going to sacrifice to get there then. That's too soon. And I'm still terrible, I basically don't have a main.
Main stage, I know about the announcement I'm just retarded and thought it was next year for some reason.
I wouldn't bother, UNIST is not a Sunday game anyway and I think there will be a UNI suite Sunday somewhere.
Really up to you if you're interested in the games on Sunday or all the casual matches you could potentially get. Think Brett ran the anime suite where all of us were packed into one enormous hotel room playing games.
Yeah this. We all watched Tokido get bopped by Bison side-switch memes in the suite too
whens the romance hack n slash
Is there a children's lobby up on playstation right now?
That makes 3 people so far.
I know for sure Merk is going but he's busy prepping for Michigan Masters this week. I'm guessing he's already registered.
I better see the Cali crew show up though.
I wanna go to evo, but I have absolutely no money to get there. Should probably start going to the romeoville locals or the chicago locals first
how hard is this game to get into in 2019? i like the character designs and have been looking for a fighting game to get autistically involved with.
There isn't, but I can rig up a more beginnier friendly lobby if ya want.
Also, nice pressure there Dia. Panic mode engaged from within me hahaha.
>How hard
Like what, having people to play with or to pick up? Because it's pretty active right now due to EVO buzz and the tutorial/mission modes are legitimately great
yeah I think ill hop on I havent played in a good while so I havent improved at all but I wanna get consistent here
I bodied people pretty easily in Ignite lounge. You should be able to wreck them too unless royal drops by.
Merks been grooming his romeoville kids but I haven't seen them in a while.
Fuck me, I just woke up. I'm sure I won't play like fucking trash tonight in this lobby.
Alright, I'll make it right now then, pass will be the same: vee
wait you went to ignite today? damn, I should have been less productive today
And we're clear. Feel free to connect whenever you're ready!
No, this was like a month ago.
Man I need to cut the dumb thrust > CS spam out already.
I signed up last night but still haven't finalized a hotel room, need to ask around at locals to see who I might share with.
Was it that bad, atic
That makes 4
Too poor to afford it, can we also set up melty blood games? (UNIST has direct connect typo thing right?)
i hope to go within the coming months, but i've still got life stuff happening that needs to be prioritized. so for now getting bodied on pc lobbies will need to suffice until i can get a firm footing now that im not moving cross country
I'll throw it up then.
kw: pclobby
well that's good, with royal and merk at mimas this week I wasn't planning on going to romeoville either. can't justify the 2 hours of driving with the strongest players missing
Make that 5
5f with a lot of stutters this time, but most of it was just me playing badly.
>me
>icey
>dia
>atic
Who else
>new guy falls for the light dp dupe
Every time
The shittier Yuzu
These light DPs and run-up VOs are my botched attempts at TK fireball.
How the hell do I get the melty blood music in this game? Saw someone had a stream with it going earlier today and I couldn't find it in my own settings. Do I just go and add the music files to the Unist music files?
Not that hard. The tutorial's one of the best and here's a decent number of guides out there at this point. Online has been active since the EVO announcement, but it's slowed down a little bit.
I don't want to condemn anyone to be shittier than icey so I don't want to guess without sounding rude
Oh yeah, that's understandable since real life is keeping me from going to get free competition money.
>(UNIST has direct connect typo thing right?)
Hah, if fucking only
wait just how many people do we have here from chicagoland? 4 regulars? who?
fuck i was distracted i promise i'm not afk
me, merk, you, and royal if you want to count him. I think it was haters that's part of merk's romeoville crew.
More and more ground kuuga confirms. I'm liking this. I feel I'm mostly back to baseline online now.
Also, Sangeko, be a bit more careful with the green shields. Your meter let's you do your reversals, and I got the leeway to go ape on you since you used it up in the first match.
I don't but I was wondering who the person who said they needed to start going to romeoville or chicago locals was
i'm about 15 minutes west of chicago. have had the game forever just never really got serious about it till i started playing on pc (uncolored spoon)
I just assumed it was parkbench.
Aww the new guy left. I wanted to get the chance to wagner mirror with him.
its me (uncolored spoon)
Yeah I’m thinking this “beginner” lobby might be too intense for me
Ah there we go
Well, whether I want to accept it or not, Icy does win most of our mirror matches. He's definitely improved since my several month vacation
>15 minutes west of Chicago
OP?
I got 4th 2 weeks ago senpai, couldn't be me
I'm still a beginner at heart
How do I decide on a main when half the cast in this game are so fucking cool?
What system should I get UNIST on?
What character would I like if I main Arakune in BB, Slayer in GG, and Aegislash in Pokken?
What the fuck is an aegislash?
both, give french bread your money
Yeah... I’m sure
5 it is then.
I've expressed my opinions on icey's evolution last thread but it's undeniable he's gotten better at being even tougher to punish
Who ended up killing you?
oh, sorry the other lobby was full when I checked
might be the same for lamp
PS4 is the standard and probably has a lot more people than pc land here. for something similar to arakune i guess linne or byakuya theres nothing super close to him. slayer id say hyde. never played poken so i can't give you a good take there
It's hard to call it a beginner lobby since it's still only regulars. Even PC's new faces to me are all pretty darn good at the game.
At least you'll probably be able to get stuff done off me (the host) since I can leave alot of openings when going for pressure. I think once you warm up to the people in this lobby you'll definitely be able to take at least 1 game since you seems to have a good head on your shoulders for completing things like the hien BnB.
Also if ya need any match-up info on Phonon and Yuzu, let me know. I'll tell you what I can after having played against these two for a fair amount of time.
A pokemon
I'd say it depends on your region.
>arakune
>slayer
>aegislash
No one as set-play heavy as arakune but maybe give Carmine a try?
See who clicks and feels the most natural to you.
A Sword.
royal and wish
I probably could have gotten third if I didn't drop everything
And shield
so obviously he should pick Wagner
I hope royal went back to Hilda.
I forget who wish played, was he the Gord or Phonon player
he plays Nana, royal was playing hilda in our match
Don't know about Slayer, but
>Arakune
I've noticed assholes tend to pick Byakuya
I'll keep that in mind.
In Pokken, Aegislash's shield stance plays more like a cannon.
Sounds perfect for Wagner
Sounds a bit familiar, guess he wasn't around when I was there or I missed him
Honestly I just don’t even understand the neutral enough in this game. I have no idea now to poke or when to press buttons. I don’t know my safe strings on block or how to frame trap either. I’ll learn eventually but it’s just tough because I get hit once and feel like I’ve lost beacause I’m getting mixed up forever.
Just can't catch a break tonight. That week break I took seems to have knocked me down a peg.
>Aegislash's shield stance plays more like a cannon.
great now i'm just imagining wagner as a pokemon trainer
Just not a fan of waiting
I'll switch over since I'm sure phos has feels the same
he made top 48 at frosty so he's solid
in my honest opinion I think melk is a much stronger player
Seth doesn't tend to give anyone a break.
I suppose all that stuff does come with time put into the game though I'd also advise looking up the primer for some things and if you stick around in these threads ask for advice.
That's how I went from a newbie player to where I am now. Like everything that requires proficiency, consistency to show up and asking help is key.
Also a small tip for Linne. 2B comes out pretty quick if you want to close mid-screen distance without getting punished too badly. Just don't spam it and it's a good way of getting in besides kuuga, hien and 5C/2C.
Of course it works better on some characters than others so milage may very.
>in my honest opinion I think melk is a much stronger player
There will come a day when I get to play this man
Damn, now it's no stutters but 6 frames. It's always one or the other.
oooooh boy I really messed up that last round
Whoops, meant to pick vat
It went as low as 4 for me there.
Who you playing
Well that ended in an odd way, hahaha. I was expecting double KO for sure!
Linne
Yeah that’s right.
I tend to learn the best from imitating pro player habits so I used to watch a ton of arcade recordings to emulate good habits on what I should be doing.
The best linne in the world has a ton of footage so I'd recommend that, just look up Jikangire in the Club Sega arcade matches
>that moment you forget you need vorpal to cvo
>that moment you lose grd cycle right as you're about to CVO
just double dip, the game couldn't possibly have that high of requirements
Would this game work as a first fighting game of sorts?
it has a pretty good tutorial so yeah
If you pay attention to the tutorial mode, probably.
But not too many other games have reverse beats and as much delayed based combos as this
inputs are pretty simple for most of the cast and the tutorial explains a lot of concepts really well including the advanced stuff
I have no idea what to do against phonon to get in
I actually did that on my IWEXS. I got lucky that my combo wasn't optimal so I could do the pickup off the ground.
Linne's pressure can be pretty easy on the basic level if you make use of short blockstrings. Outside of Kuugas (mainly TK), you're never actually safe though since nothing else is plus. You just need to get a read on your opponent, which is easy or hard depending on who you're playing against.
Also, I'm going to have to point this out, but Hien is a terrible method of approaching (unless they're not expecting it). The A version is minus as hell and the B version whiffs outside of specific ranges midscreen.
I don't really know why I won in the first round but good game atic.
I think so. The GRD system, assaults, and reverse beats are far from standard fighting game mechanics, but the game does reward solid, thoughtful play pretty strongly and you can play fine without doing super complicated combos.
You the linne guy or someone else
punch her stupid face
If he is, the answer is to dashblock, and then die anyways since you still only have a slight advantage in the corner.
I tried drawing the batista bomb and what little I made came out really bad and then I started tracing someone else's work so that it might look good and felt guilty about it and no longer want to continue. I'm sorry. Maybe I'll be good enough to take request in a few more months. Please forgive me.
assaults aren't that weird desu
pc wagner
>Hien is a terrible method of approaching
I guess your right. Sometimes I get it, most times I don't.
Usually I get it on Lamp because he plays aggressive and I can hop over his attacks though he's been wising up to it lately.
Post it coward
>Park's Linne
Always fun to see him pull it out.
Dashblock
FF projectile into 236x/214x. Although, I'm not sure if you can do that against charged fireballs
But if you got the time to buff shield, you can probably 214C through it
Oh, actually, scratch that. Against zoners it's pretty decent. Risky as hell but you can get good reward if they whiff something. EX version is good on reaction.
I would never use it while playing footsies though, which is what I really meant.
it's straight trash though lmao
trying to stagger my buttons like pho is getting me blown up
>pick up UNIST
>choose Seth because he's chuuni as fuck and i might as well go all the way
>hit roadblock in his combos
>have difficulty doing his 214B fast fall into crossup launcher kick
>practice like mad in the past 2 days
>enemy recovers before i hit them with the j. 6C follow up after the launcher kick
>no dice
>wake up today
>suddenly nailing the fast fall launcher part 90% of the time
>maybe get a bit too good because i am now performing the j. 6C so early and so close to the ground that i am now whiffing under them and then dropping the combo
WHAT DOES THIS GAME WANT FROM ME
Linne's stagger windows are pretty short. You'll have to mainly rely on staggering her specials
Christ that was a close match. Good stuff you two.
Just take breaks and don’t get tilted bro
>tfw the lag hits just right
Ok maybe in a year and a few more months I'll be good enough.
Got me laughin'. Nice work ph0ss. Seems you're starting to shed some rust off now.
>214B into fastfall
The first big execution wall for most Seth players. Here's a tip, just hold a button forward after you input the fastball instead of pressing another button.
>j6C
Just jump back and do it
You did your best, which is more than can be said of anyone else who didn't even try it.
Thanks for the image m8!
I'll just let you know right now that even traced art is miles better than shitty ms-paint cut and paste character art over existing art that twitter people find utterly world-endingly funny so I appreciate your attempt even I'm not the one who asked for this.
What's wrong with that?
I'm at an actual loss on what to do against your 66B atic. Feels like anything I do after trying to reverse beat into an A button loses, even backdash. There's 4B, but that's a hard callout, one that gets me punished if you don't press a button as almost every attack Yuzu has pushes me out of 4B range in a blockstring.
If I sit there and block it, I lose my turn. If I try to mash after seeing it, I get counter hit by your persona. I'm amazed you weren't using such a stupidly good button before
Thank you. This actually means a lot to me.
It's cheating. I don't know it just feels wrong and the one part I actually drew came out really bad.
Man I'm actually doing well tonight and taking rounds off hippie and atic even though I had the shittiest sleep. I wonder why.
what does FLS stand for
How is it cheating? Most artists learn by tracing at the start. Not everyone can be me with my artistic skills.
You're going to have to dashblock Uncolored Spoon. If you keep commiting to those big assaults and non-installed 214/236's I'm just gonna keep punishing you.
False I think? Could be mixing up lore.
False
>7 frames with stutters
Jesus Christ why
66B is very similar to many other characters' 66B, in which it's slightly minus and special cancelable to enable yet another reset/throw/frametrap option in pressure. Not as good as Seth's or Wagner's but it gets the job done. I guess layer one response would be shield tech to tech a throw or shield the 214A (which can then be punished if I do it too close), and then I would have to delay throw or something to GRD break you. I've been trying to work it in more after playing an OG UNIEL dude at locals some time ago who used it a lot.
I guess. Thank you Icey.
yeah, I really gotta work on those installs and actually doing them as well as the dash blocking
Okay guys, I’m done for the night. Appreciate the lobby and advice, hope to be back tomorrow night!
wew there goes my connection sorry about that Kharid
Shit that looks great, artists are always too critical of their own work.
GGs broheim. See ya next time!
np bro azhi thrives in the lag anyway
Is the timing of Orie's jA, jB, jC into 3B really strict or am I doing it wrong?
Just delay the j.A a bit instead of doing it immediately so that the j.C lands late enough for an easy 3B.
Looks like there are Sethfags in this thread. Can anyone check Moryō's combo ender in webm related and tell me the pros and cons of using the command grab ender over the usual 6C into B orb?
starting to get a headache so I think next will be my last games lobby 2
I don't know if I'd call it super strict but it can be kind of tricky at first. It's easier to do the closer you are to the ground as you hit j.C since you'll land as the opponent is still in hitstun
hyde is pretty much just a recolored ichigo kurosaki
Now that I've finally adjusted again, I feel my execution has gotten a lot better over the weekend. Been confirming a lot of things I normally drop.
Many thanks, anons.
new to these threads. haven’t played in a long ass time so I might join in tomorrow night once I shake off the rust
Who?
You eke out just a bit more damage and can go for some more ambiguous oki midscreen.
The last thing anyone wants to be is predictable so having a number of different combo enders is understandable. Off the top of my head you got the regular j6C into 214B combo ender that's the usual staple. Then there's the B command grab and then there's also the 214B~B > j236B > Air Backdash to have someone recover in the air and then you can immediately adjust for a reset if they're not paying attention to the direction they tech out in.
Sounds like a plan. Thanks for hopping in and GGs!
If there's roomy in Lobby 1 we can always move back. Room for 2?
Looks like fatigue is starting to set in. My Vatista execution is going down the toilet.
Well, the only good thing about Ichigo is his theme
god damn melk knows what im gonna do before I do
I know a few liquids you can apply that'll help clean that rust right off.
Ggs PC lobby
ggs bro
GGs my dude.
That makes sense. I'd be pretty rattled too if I get my throat cut by a command grab mid combo instead of the usual ender
Aw man
Good game atic
Who knows? I’m a yellow square linne masher so it might help or I might go full unga
Oh yeah, it's Tueday morning so I'll need to excuse myself early.
There's another lobby right? I'll close mine after my circuit so if there isn't, icey can go make another lobby for the remainder of the night
I'm gonna call it with that my internet or my computer or both is dying. ggs PC lobby
ggs man fun games
Yep. Lobby is still up!
Gonna head to bed after my next loss or 3 wins PC Lobby. I'll put myself on autopass and leave my computer on so you guys can keep playing.
Or you can make a new lobby if you guys would prefer that.
GGs sir. Good showing.
GGs
These TK fireballs coming out as DPs will hopefully be ironed out in the next couple months
ggs pc bros
ggs, I guess we're back in the land of 6f again
GG's bro
ggs man
That's Phonon, not Azhi.
I didn't bother restarting my router tonight, we'll see about tomorrow.
ggs
GGs everyone. I think it's crazy how much my Vat has progressed by playing you guys.
I got a new cable and controller this weekend, so one of these days I'll be hopping on and finally playing you again with my PC issues hopefully mostly resolved.
Darn, jumped too high there before unleashing it, though I'm not so sure I wouldn't have still been tarded for the death hahaha.
GG's one day I'll actually not be free on defense
*traded
My spelling has been off the mark lately.
I am new to UNIST but have interest in zoning playstyles. Would it be suicide to try to learn vatista or hilda as my first character?
Play who you want to play IMO. Is it your first fighting game?
If not I think you'll probably find it easier to adjust to this one given the amount of tutorials you get to work with in-game.
Atic, right? I'll be here most nights so I'll be ready. Or you can @ me on discord. Pretty sure I saw you there at some point.
>vatista
Can you play Guile?
Hilda's not that bad
Yuzu is the easiest so try her first if you want to zone.
>say I'll be taking a break
>end up playing until 3am anyways
ggs everyone. Locals definitely did me some good.
Vatista is a charge character so there's that distinction if you can play those or not.
Hilda's a bit unique but probably bit easier to grasp since she's got big buttons to play with. In exchange she's got shit for defense unless you cover yourself in advance.
Ooomph! Looks like I need to work on kuuga confirms then next time I open up training. that was a good amount of drops.
Yeah. That was a one-off to play with a local guy since I rarely check discord, but I'll keep that in mind. The reason my attendance in these lobbies is so regular is that these hours are really perfect for me and I'm usually busy outside of them.
GGs. Til next night!
>that moment you're projectile gets parried and you teleport next to your opponent
I've never seen that before, hahaha.
>I've never seen that before
Happens plenty of times, best parry in the game
Maybe my memory is foggy then because it felt like a first for me.
Either way, that was fun.
I think I actually played smart that match and really took your advice from last week to heart, but I still couldn't tell if you were just practicing certain combos or not atic.
Not thrusting vs Icy is turning out to be pretty good practice
God I'm doing terrible now, maybe its time to stop
Eh, it could just be a bad night.
I wouldn't write myself off so quickly if I were you.
Really? I think Atic would've destroyed me if he thrusted more. I'm not really sure what put him off doing it since he has such a massive advantage doing it.
I'm trying to work on my neutral and dashblocking and your slash pressure is good enough to make me work for it.
I never played a charge character before but Vatista's been someone I was always interested in since uniel.
I failed to understand Yuzu and her stances.
Fuck, I really thought I was getting somewhere, but I guess not. I think I'm done for the night.
what do i do against a chaos holding up back midscreen
GGs m8!
You were definitely playing more solid overall at the same time though. Thrusting is a bad crutch for me, and I'm discovering again how bad I am at fundamental dashblock approaches since your slashes hit me so much.
i can't wait for faster than light travl to be a thing so we don't have to deal with bullshit netplay lag
Can someone please give me an electric shock every time I dp like a retard
Eh, I couldn't have been playing all that solid if you took away your best tool to stop Yuzu.
Try playing a character without a DP for a while.
getting half your life removed for free isn't enough of an electric shock for you?
I know your pain tonight.
Thrust is situational and high risk against Yuzu who can dodge or parry it on reaction a lot of the time. I'm getting away with it against you more than I should because of netplay delay which makes reactionary moves harder, so I can't lean on it too much if I want to improve. Obviously thrust is important in the match but I've just been spamming it too much as of late.
It's just like the overhead, I'm no longer using it in pressure in netplay and I think I've improved because of it. I'll incorporate both the overhead and the thrust again once I feel enough improvement.
Charged thrust is definitely reactable, I dont think A or B uncharged is though.
I like gordeau and hyde equally, but who's better to learn the game with?
Crazy close match!
The A thrust is a lot less risky than I think you make it out to be. It easily stamps out any fake gaps in stance pressure, especially since Yuzu's hurtbox extends out whenever she's trying to slash
Uncharged thrusts need literal superhuman reaction to parry. I think the parry window activates like frame 4 too, so that's even less time to react
GGs atic. Thanks for the fun ones!
Yeah, great game. See ya next time
Actually, now that I'm looking at the frame data, even charged B thrust is hard for me to do on reaction at 22 frames unless I'm looking hard for it. I can barely block 24 frame overheads most of the time
ggs everyone
A thrust is mostly relevant in frametrap or scramble situations which is really not that common against Yuzu. B thrust can be frametrapped by Yuzu fairly easily most of the time, when I play the Yuzu from my locals I tend to already use thrust somewhat less often than online because he can punish them more often, and in my short set with Tari in AA, thrust was generally a bad idea. It goes back to my feeling that thrust is important against Yuzu but making it the center of my neutral against her will make me hit a wall.
Charged thrust is absolutely reactable offline especially since a lot of it is common sense prediction. It's not like up-close pressure where you're also worried about throws or lows; when Orie is at a certain distance there's only so many things that she can do.
You can probably add 1-3 frames of travel time, so its a bit nicer. In realistic scenarios, you just look for her post where she holds her rapier about to thrust, its very distinct from her walking forward and backward, and since the only reason (I hope) to charge thrust is being around full screen... I know I've parried or dodged on reaction a few times. I still don't have the balls to try it consistently though.
Literally unblockable
B thrust yes, it's slow as hell. Talking about A thrust, which is short ranged but I think more effective than one might think. Yuzu's hurtbox is extended slightly while slashing and I think while in stance
Her usual halfscreen pressure spacing is like one character distance too far for A thrust to be of any use. A thrust is very useful in certain matchups but for Yuzu it's almost always when I'm on the offense rather than in neutral or defense.
Was thinking more of A teleport distance rather than the usual zoning distance. That range where I want to get close to actually open the opponent up but can easily get blown up if the opponent doesn't respect stance
That stop signal is not a traffic light Google
GG's pc lobby
alright i think ive had enough time being a practice dummy ggs pc lobby
ggs PC lads.
There's still the problem of not being able to incorporate reverse beat pressure against Orie without dying. Best I could find was trading counter hits with 66B, but then that loses to A thrust. I'm guessing it's pretty easy to just crouch block and look for the 2A/5A while defending
Anybody on PS4 want games?
Yeah, I find defending against the threat of thrust very difficult. A lot of block strings that seem normally too minus or leave her too far for Orie, seem to not matter vs Yuzu since its at that nice distance where her entering stance frame data is too slow to beat out thrust, and obviously her normals won't reach, so it's an awkward spot.
GGs Blues. It seemed to be coming together quite well in those last 10 or so bouts on your Hyde material! Also, thanks for punishing me so hard with those throws.
Thanks for the fun times! See ya next time!
Just closed up shop myself, sorry for the bad timing m8. Hopefully tomorrow I can get some games with ya.
I made a PS4 lobby, password is vee as always
;_;
Wait, you're talking about Yuzu-Orie matchup right? Not sure what you're talking about here in terms of incorporating reverse beat pressure since Yuzu generally does C button into 5A for reverse beat, which isn't really punishable at the usual range. If you meant defending against Orie rebeat pressure, yeah there's an RPS involved where Orie can delay 2B/2C after 2A or 214A after 5A for a CH frametrap and try to make people respect that for a reset.
Yuzu 2C is pretty long and 5C covers a ton of airspace in front of her so those can contest a lot of things from mid distance that aren't frametrap thrusts. It's another thing where if I thrust and it's blocked I lost that exchange and my turn's over, so I have to use the threat of thrust to get enough respect to run in again and reapply pressure.
Unless I'm doing something horribly wrong, 5C > 5A whiff loses hard to Orie's 66B no matter what I throw out unless I attempt a hard read with 4B. Reverse beating Yuzu's 5C/2C is -1 too according to my super scientific tests of constantly pausing and comparing jump heights, so I guess it's not that surprising. Still really sucks though
Who the fuck is this pokemon trainer ass motherfucker next to hyde
What? I tend to almost never use 66B to poke out on defense, especially since my dumb fingers have a chance to input the overhead. It's 10 frames and the 8f 2B or 9f 5B would probably be the better counterpoke move. Maybe you're focusing on one fluke incident or thinking of another move that's not 66B.
>fluke
Your fluke has left a deep impression on me.
>It's 10 frames and the 8f 2B or 9f 5B
Even so, it reaches further and I can't really challenge it as Yuzu so I don't see why not
People still playing on ps4? I'm pretty wasted but mashing buttons doesnt sound bad maybe
>UNIST is now 4th in the EVO rankings
What a time to be alive.
