I wrote up about a censored PS4 game in the past. I did so because the game was forcibly censored on PS4 but other versions were untouched. In this case, the censor is being applies to all version of the game. I would rather the game bombs entirely.

I usually use different emails and try to sound different and toss around to different publishers since they may or may not care if I actually left a review. I usually write how I will look at the mechanics and admire the series' evolution blah blah blah and how I will leave a Steam review, maybe make a video and spread word on social media to the target audience. I usually try and find the PR email or whatever, but have found success like 6-7 times.

My boss has been in this for many years now but I don't think you need to be that huge. Our website isn't big by any margin, a couple thousand hits per month. I've played almost every weeb game that came out on PS4 for free this way.

For Steam keys it's so much easier because publishers can make them as much as they want. For consoles it's a limited amount.

The only way to show our dislike of those policies is to vote with our wallets.

But in all seriousness, is the idea that there are actual localisation staff within Spike Chunsoft who find the game problematic and so do the censorship without any external pressure? I can sort of believe that having had some limited experience in the game industry and seeing the sorts of people who populate those companies.
On the other hand, you'd have to actually get a good look at those 'bedtime scenes' that were removed if you were going to judge their decision properly, and there's not much info about them. It could just be that, yeah, they were a bit too much for them to publish and avoid a shitstorm. That doesn't explain or justify the other weirdly prudish choices they made though, so it makes you think it probably IS a case of them just trying to 'do the right thing' (for their own egos - not their customers).

Man the Danganronpa team left at Spike Chunsoft are in a awkward position. They themselves must be tired of making Danganronpa besides the people who left, which is part of the reason why they made Zanki Zero. But Zanki Zero selling the way it is currently, might just force them back into doing more Danganronpa.
