What videogame has the most disappointing final boss?

Going off the top of my head, I'd say Super Mario Galaxy 2, simply because you don't get to hear half of the kino final boss track because it ends too quick, but at least its first phase was pretty cool. So I'll go with Super Mario Sunshine.

I'd say everything up til Gem Drill was basically consistently good or okay. Gem Drill itself was disappointing, and then the show just shat the bed immediately afterward and never properly recovered.

While I liked the R&C PS4 game, the final boss fight with dr nefarious was not only easy and somewhat annoying (I don't like the Jet). it also just feels like a worse then his other 2 boss fights he got in R&C UYA and ACiT. so yeah I say it's pretty disappointing.

KH3's final boss was actually really nice. The final phase where you're forced into rage form and the part where Donald and Goofy call you back from near-death to perform a trinity limit was especially good. It didn't reach KH2 finale levels of kino, but it was fun.

I'm surprised nobody mentioned FFXV yet though. It's literally just a shitty one-on-one with a boss that's practically indistinguishable from one of the magitek soldiers, and then the mechanics go full fucking retard in the second phase as your camera loses its shit trying to keep up with you warping and flying in the sky. You're not even fighting, you're just relying on armiger spam to carry you because 1) that's literally all you can do, and 2) there's so much happening on-screen that the player can barely register what the hell is going on.

Okay, fine, they fucked up that part, but maybe the boss can redeem itself in the third phase.
Except, lmao, the third "phase" consists entirely of a couple of QTEs, and then you're shunted off the final cutscene without a struggle that was even remotely difficult or memorable. It's such a crock a shit coming from a series that's known for ramping up the spectacle of its finales to fucking eleven. Ardyn should have had a corrupted form or something.

Also, Change Your Mind could have been good but the last 10 minutes or so were pure ass and ruined what little potential SU still had.

Ardyn in ffxv, along with every other enemy. An open world game with peg-style progression mechanics was a mistake. What is the point of side content when the game is not balanced around it? The game actually punishes you for participating in side content by destroying all dramatic tension because the final boss is level 47 when the starting cap was 99. It's like all the worst things about Pokemon magnified a hundred fold.
