Question for the thread: mage and rogue seem like the two best PvP classes, but which will be better overall? Rogue is useless in large fights in AV / Hillsbrad, but they're great for sneaking into towns and cities and surprising someone with an ambush crit.

Rogues provide a fun playstyle but mages can one shot people with a little macro work. I had a max gear mage during Vanilla. Shit was cash.
The whole concept of generals are retarded in general. For the vast majority of video games, quality discussion only occurs around something major happening. This means the vast majority of generals on /vg/ are unoccupied and serve only to harbor some odds and ends shitposting while simultaneously depriving any game from receiving some semblance of actual quality discussion on Yea Forums because some asspie will always just tell you to post it on /vg/ where there's nobody but the most extreme asspies hanging out in the general. What's even worse is /vg/ fuels the most extreme cancerous esports, fotm trendy shit games by giving these people a place to advertise ther shit game. Games should just be allowed to have long topics on Yea Forums. The majority of content posted on Yea Forums is far worse than having a few generals up. I hate moot for making /vg/ and I think the board should be deleted.

For example the PvP caster weapons introduced with Naxxramas have the same stats as loot from AQ40.
You will be able to get AQ40/Naxx quality gear when the latest content is Molten Core.

Better moderation won't change the nature of Yea Forums because all potentially good content has moved to /vg/ where you'll only find it if you're obsessed with a given game and thus such content gets obscured for the majority of people. Since all good content is moved to /vg/ and that content gets obscured and since Yea Forums is nothing but shit, we are left with two boards, both far worse than Yea Forums prior to when /vg/ was created and moderation will never fix that because there will never be consistently interesting things to talk about on Yea Forums like there used to be. It's all hidden away on /vg/ and the posting format of /vg/ is cancer.
