I beat Dark Souls 3.
It took me a couple days, I admit, but goddamn that was fun.
The Irithyll dungeon actually scared me, I hadn't been scared of a game in a long time, since fucking Half life 2's Ravenholm years ago.
The skeleton level felt like it just needed to be included and I thought it was stupid at first, but I had a huge grin on my face while fighting skeletons.
>tfw skeletons come at you while riding a fucking wheel
>tfw Mr. Bones ride never ends.
Dark Souls III
From the wording I take it that was your first Souls game? If so you should go back and play one. You'll experience what real catacombs and skeleton wheels are like.
atmospherically ds3 is really weak
i got taken out of it really quick by how limited the actually levels are
everyone will always take the same paths through it and i felt no emotional connection to it
now tower of latria?
that's atmosphere
Yeah, it was my first Souls game. I played a bit of the first game, but I got frustrated after trying to beat the first asylum demon on 15 fps. That was years ago, I feel way better now.
Literally the problem is instant bonfire teleports, which have been killing soulbourne immersion since DaS II.
DaS III levels are indeed shorter, but wouldn't be nearly as "souless" if it wasn't for Firelink trips.
Don't worry, it's hard to go back. Dark Souls 1 and 2 are nearly unplayable after experiencing Bloodborne, 3, and Nioh. You're not missing anything. It's just nostalgia that keeps the rest of us in love with Dark Souls 1.
The speed shit is a meme. It will feel "weird" but DaS is built around a slower speed of gameplay where it's less about reaction time to attacks and more about making the proper attack investments.
The main thing you will probably notice with DaS is a few of the bosses are outright bad compared to the almost perfect streak of fights in III.
Since DeS*
DeS is different, every level is a long gauntlet that if you die you have to repeat from the beginning. Everything loops back to the Nexus which is how one properly does the level up waifu concept.
DaS II, III and BB instead force you to take a trip back to their "nexus" whenever the fuck you want while also allowing you to instant jump to other locations.
This kills the immersion that DaS generated by having you isolated to whatever bonfire you have until endgame.
If they REALLY wanted to force a level up waifu they should have had her be summonable at every bonfire to level up or some shit.
If you want more horror with the same gameplay and have a PS4 play Bloodborne
I quickly came to love das' slower gameplay after ds3/bb. it felt semi turned based and reminded me of low level vanilla wow
i hope you enjoyed it user
for curiocity's sake, what kind of build did you use?
I've got a PS4 and I got Bloodborne for free thanks to the plus deal.
Any tips?
dex build.
I wanted to katana up after fighting the swordmaster next to firelink.
How difficult is DeS compared to the other games?
easy
Most will say it's easier, especially since most of its bosses are have gimmicks that are fun but not necessarily challenging.
Also it has the most broken magic of any souls game.
fuck off, now nobody can post anything simple, like youre the finest piece of shit in the toilet
kino
it's fucking kino
>I was so scared when I was in Blatant Demon Souls Rehash Dungeon!
>I really liked the cartoon polished mud funhouse skeleton level under Swamp #2!
