i wish they'd just go ham and add whatever spinoff characters that aren't caught up in legal rights hell from the comics, they have no intentions of reducing sonic's friends so they might as well re-add some of the fan-favorites
if they just made a SA3 that soft-rebooted the series but kept the few likable characters i don't think anyone would really mind

The way they adapted power rings seemed to make Super Sonic redundant since just touching a single ring gave Sonic a power boost. But both shows came out shortly after Sonic 2 and only lasted a very short time in production so I guess they just didn't have time to add a lot of the lore.

Shadow is one of my favorite video game characters of all time, his backstory made me cry as a child because it was the most intense thing I saw as an 8 year old. Poor Maria, she really didn't deserve it.

I was a big Shadow fan ever since that day and I will always support him and the Sonic series, I just wish that people would stop making fun of him with all the edgy jokes and what not, he's just a misunderstood character with a rough backstory.

I do hope in the future that Shadow can be in Sonic Mania 2 if that ever happens, that would be an amazing inclusion and would make fans happy.

SoJ is angry enough they had to hire gaijin to make the only above-average Sonic game in 20 years, they certainly weren't close enough towards their seppuku-tantos to allow western charcters into their precious games too.
