Was it really that hard?
Was it really that hard?
Compared to most DaS Bosses, yes. However he gets BTFO'd by a few DaS III bosses, namely Dragonslayer Armour.
No. Dark Souls 1 and Demons Souls are the easiest games by a large margin.
that's not a pick i expected but i agree with you
Sekiro is on another level
FORSEN BUILD
Nothing in Souls games is really hard as long as you hang back and learn patterns before you start actually dealing with things. I'm convinced all the "Dark Souls is hard" memes are just retards running head first into shit repeatedly for an hour and not changing a single thing they're doing.
Only annoying thing it's the runback from the bonfire the first time you're fighting him.
Then he becomes a joke every run.
I don't think people appreciate STRstein enough. When I first fought him I was getting my ass wrecked because of how frequent he would wall damage with his shield.
Then, I started to notice the small exposed gaps to his hit box that would emerge to his left depending on his animation.
It was basically the first fight in souls that felt like a battle with shielded knight who was equal defensive and offensively, where I had to think like an actual knight (looking for gaps in their defenses) rather than how to do the blow-trading dance like with Artorias.
no I used Shield+Spear and poked him to death
As hard as any boss fight in any Kirby game.
I was overleveled when I finally remembered I had the dlc so I think I ruined the experience
Isn't he stronger than Gwyn though?
Dragonslayer Armour is very easy user, are you physically or mentally disabled?
>two 10-second long transformation sequences where he's entirely vulnerable
ez
I had a pretty rough time with him, but when I finally got him I did it without taking damage. I had the BKH though so Im not sure if its made my DS experience much easier or not.
Almost no bosses in dark souls comes even remotely close to ds3 bosses. Friede is probably on par with midir for toughest darksouls boss
I think he was a great level of "challenging but fun". The fight never felt like a huge struggle but you had to stay on your toes.
It stood out because of how fun the fight was more than how challenging it was
>Yea Forums will defend this
The good, old "wear heavy armor, get super high poise and tank everything, while chugging estus".
I'm glad that DS3 fixed this and made retards screech about muh poise.
I also had a lot of probelms with Dragonslayer Armor for whatever reason. I had to cheese him with the fountain to beat him.
On the other hand, I found Nameless King to be one of the easier bosses in the game.
I wouldn't say that Nameless king was that weak but he didn't gave me much problem, Dancer and Soul cinder made me their bitch though.
That's not Smough's face.
It pisses me every time.
The only hard thing about NK's fight is the camera while he's on the dragon. Once you get him off it becomes any other DS boss
No, Friede takes the cake as the hardest Souls boss, easily
>vulnerable to backstabs and knockdowns
nah
