When did you grow out of your cringe metal phase, Yea Forums? For me, right around 15
Grew out of it when I was 17.
Still into metal at 21 but can't stand all the whiny garbage that retards put out that think putting a different filter on a guitar = metal.
this
>Kain is deified, tha clans tell tales of him
kot ID GET
>grew out of metal
What are you listening to Metalbros?

I'm this cat
taco taco burrito jajajajajaja

Based, I finally decided to listen to them when the CD came in. Devoid of Life was immaculate. This one ain't bad as well.
this. The shittest covers are basically the same song with distorted guitar and "heavy" drums. Guys like Vmills can fuck off
>posting that pic outside of /tekgen/

if you don't think the second half of this song from 2:44 on is the tightest shit you can get out of my face
I'd say the worst are the ones where they cover one loop of the song and then have the rest of their "cover" be their own OC song snuck in. I'd rather get what I was looking for and be disappointed then fall for a hack's bait and seitch.
I was introduced to proper metal at 25. Before that I thought all metal was those cringy oiled up faggots waving around warhammers and black and white mascara.
25, will still casually listen to Boris and Electric Wizard.
Yeah some of those are really bad, I much prefer a cover where they play around with the arrangement of the song and actually throw some OC stuff in there. Not enough people do that enough. Instead of covering a loop or just the straight up vanilla song with distorted guitars.
based and wizardpilled
>metal remix barely even sounds like the original song
About 17

A friend swears by this fucking cunt and i have no idea why.
>Imma just add heavy guitar riffs to everything lmao xD!
I grew into metal when I started to take music more seriously as a legitimate artform.
still better than Vmills, both are terrible though.
>that "metal" font
yikes
patrician here ama

I assume you're referring to metalcore? I've been listening to I Prevail since they put out a new album recently and it's honestly not that bad. I especially liked "Let me be sad".
I can understand why other people might not like that type of music though
I want to fuck elizer
>I assume you're referring to metalcore
I'm referring to shit like
Yep, they're both hot shit
Jonny Atma is the only guy that i enjoy his "metal" remixes.
They're not all bad.

same
oh
yeah that's fair. that "metal cover" or whatever they call it is really bad
He does a good job of making clean tracks out of old console music like GBA.

Listen to these fucking shits. Beyond the fact that they want to call literally every remix metal, which they fucking aren't, they completely miss the fucking point of the songs.
Nice.

At least he finally dropped the 7X part in his name. I prefer Richaardeb's stuff more since his arrangements are actually interesting
Fucking christ this was all terrible
We get it, you don't like the thing that other people like. Next time try saying how it was terrible and maybe you won't look as desperate for (You)s.
Cope
Lel, the Dream Chaser one is just literally a performance of Dream Chaser. I guess you just don't like the song then.
I hate that cocksucker so much because he fucking sucks at making "metal" covers, and he has shit vocals.
I hope he gets throat cancer.
anyone that unironically use the word "Epic" to describe their cover do not deserve any views whatsoever
I agree. They deserve gelding at the very least.
Was into very surface level metal as a preteen and very early teen, then I discovered Joe Satriani (I think through playing Guitar Hero and learning that he trained Kirk Hammett) and liked that way more and that's probably what started me on the path of really liking melody-driven music (which includes game OSTs).
I've gotten into Power Metal though. Melodic, lots of drive and energy, doesn't take itself too seriously.
Atma is great but I wouldn't call a majority of his stuff metal. It gets dumbasses in the door so good for him though.
>That Sunset Heroes cover
A few of his covers work, but he's definitely a one-trick pony with really basic arrangements
There is only one metal "cover" for a video game music.
And everybody knows what it is.

I once made this my alarm clock tone and that was a huge mistake. It made me fucking dread that screech at the beginning and I think my roommate hated it.
