DR1 gets Sakura, Genocider, and Mukuro.
DR2 gets Izuru, Peko and Nekomaru.
DRAE gets Monaca with a battle robot and a Kurokuma/Shirokuma tag team character.
DR3 gets Kyosuke, Great Gozu and Miayabot.
DRV3 gets Maki, Kibo and... uh, Gonta I guess. Himiko might be fun, but she doesn't really fit with the rest.

I liked Hinata because he had the strongest start and his snarky attitude made him the funniest MC of the bunch, but his shortcomings eventually got the best of him as the game went on. All the flaws mentioned in that last thread were 100% correct and I ain't defending any of that.

He literally got BTFO by Munakata for 90% of that fight. Naegi did absolutely nothing worthy of mention in DR3. Hell Kibou-Hen pretty much shows when he's thrown to the side for the DR2 cast. You could cut Naegi at that point and nothing would change.

Again, not really sure what's so funny. DR3 showed he could put his thoughts into action when it counted. The despair vision also shows he's still got PTSD for what happened to his friends and he can't just ignore it by being hopeful.

Yeah, I used to think Hajime was a pretty good protagonist, much better than Naegi. But from a replay of DR2 and DR3 mixed in, I couldn't keep that viewpoint. He did so little to improve his circumstances, made so many missteps and ultimately got off with little repercussions.

I still rank him as my favorite below Shuichi, but as a person, he is the weakest of the protagonists.
