So it's basically the highest tier ice power. I have all other ice and snow abilities, including immunity to the cold, summoning ice golems, all that fun stuff.

I imagine a hack and slash action RPG with a big focus on the combat system. Your basic attacks involve summoning weapons, of which there are several and each one has a different gimmick. Swords have a charge attack, warhammers do a ground pound with AoE, spears can be thrown for range, ice bow is a ranged weapon. Then as you go on you'll unlock things like freeze rays and frost novas to stun enemies, mobility moves that let you skate along ice that you cast in front of you, that sort of thing. Oh and summoning ice golems to help you fight. Either a few small ones that are like imps or one big one who does big smash.

The story takes place at the North Pole and you play as Santa Clause. A government strike team kidnaps you, Mrs. Clause and your elves and takes over the North Pole because Christmas magic represents a powerful new weapon that they want to learn to exploit. The game starts with you breaking out of a government lab and fighting the military. As the game goes on the military goons you're fighting will get stronger as their research on Christmas magic progresses, so they'll gain increasingly powerful magic abilities.

Little do they know that Santa's workshop serves a secret purpose: To guard a portal to an alternate hell dimension version of Earth, and Santa's gift giving every year is actually a cover to renew protections on all the world's ley lines. At about the halfway point in the story Santa is going to have just missed Christmas as he gets back to the North Pole and hell versions of polar bears and elves are going to start coming through the portal, and he'll have no choice but to eventually go into it and fight through the evil Santa's workshop and the final boss will be his doppleganger.
