>Ema actually thinks you're threat because she saw Shura before
>only helps you because Isshin told her so
>only cares about Isshin and Genichiro, you're a stranger to her until the very end of the game
>tfw you're a stray dog after all

non-canon ending
My observations are not made out of the ending.
>tfw short term memory and just now remembered she genuinely cares for you if you choose to not betray kuro
OP here, disregard my headcanon, I suck ochinchins teehee~
post proofs niggers instead of falseflagging.
Who cares? Sekiro is for Kuro and Kuro alone.
Got none since I'm at NG+2 right now, I'll take a screenshot in about 1-2 days depending on how fast I'll reach the everblossom quest. When you talk to her there she says she doesn't wanna lose Kuro or you and that's why she vehemently tried to hide the everblossom from you.
See you in 2 days fuckboi, make sure to be in Sekiro threads.
nobody wants to hear you life story faggot, if you don't have any proofs get the fuck out of here
mad cuz wrong lmao, see (You) in 2 days fgt
nice comeback you clown
thx fgt, made it just for your retard ass
you're improving, took you less than 10 minutes to write that trash reply. grats
Now get the fuck out of my thread with your dumb garbage
Well whaddya know, here's the whole thing. Open up cause here comes the source for absolute retards.
youtube.com
3:52 until 4:58. Make sure to read her lines in 4:55 and onwards.
Afterwards, kindly go kill yourself you absolute mongel.
I didn't get this ending so I'm not going to spoil myself. If you want to prove your point, If you have any, post the quotes.
Wow you're both complete faggots
every ending is canon
sequels are for fags
then your choice really does matter, since in my screenshot she expresses her feelings basically before you made it.
Also can be mistranslated, just like her name
>Also can be mistranslated, just like her name
this damage control my god
the translation is 100% what she says in jap
kys
I said "also" you nigger can you read
Here it is, jap voices, with timestamp so you don't get your baby ass spoilered. Hear the lines and tell me how she says anything different from the subs. Tell me how its a mistranslation.
>n-not watching it spoilers ;_;
Again, timestamped you retard, just open the link, hear those 3 lines and close it.
She cares about you and knows you from before the game even starts. She saved your life before but sekiro doesn't remember.
she was talking about shinobi but It's not clear if it was Sekiro.
Also it's her job to save people.
I got your point, that choice you make with Owl earns her respect.
I created this thread to discuss her, not to sperg out
>You're a stranger to her
No you're not, one of the drink conversations she basically spells put that Sekiro's known her for a while and just has partial amnesia
>It's not clear if it was sekiro
>she literally asks if you remember any of it
I don't know how much clearer it can get.
>"('I brought sake.') Oh my...that is generous of you. I accept. Ahh...delicious. As a doctor, I do have other uses for sake beyond just drinking. ('For purification?') Yes. It can also help those with a low tolerance for pain. But when I was a child, I couldn't stand the smell of it. ('You've been doing medical work ever since you were a child?') Yes. I wanted to be of use to my mentor...Master Dogen. I used to compete with my fellow disciples to treat patients. In those days, arrow and sword wounds were frightfully common........ I see. ('What's wrong?') It's nothing. Sometimes, shinobi would come for treatment as well. There was once... a rather difficult patient. ('Difficult in what way?') He said very little. I didn't know where he was hurt or how much pain he was in...I had no information to go on. It was maddening. ('I see.') ...None of this sounds familiar to you? ('No, nothing. Nothing at all.')
Gee I wonder what Shinobi she could possibly be talking about.
She could be talking about any other shinobi because, you know, shinobi don't talk much.
And again, it's her job to help
Who cares? That's only you faggots trying to make a waifus out of completely sexless and unattractive soulsborne firekeeper female npcs.
This ending woukd be cool for the lore of a city in a dark souls.
>You get to ashina in ruins.
>you find in the lore that an old hero tried to sever the ties with inmortality but got corrupted as well and he became an immortal demon.
>the demon made the city his home, so the city got abandoned because of that.
You completely misjudged her character because of a one-liner from the worst possible ending where you betray everyone including her. Discuss this.
What is the point of this denial?
I didn't misjudge her character, because It evolves and before Owl coming into the castle she doesn't trust you.
why would she ask Sekiro if that story ringed a bell if she was talking about a random shinobi?
Are you being retarded on purpose?
Even if it was him, It only means she cared about him only as a patient.
Her boss fight was kino. She is really hard and will slice you up good if you don't keep pressuring her. But if you do pressure her you can bully her into cancelling her attacks like her ashina cross
Both boss fights in shura ending are fucking sick. I like them more than Isshin fight.
I died so many times to old Isshin in NG+ I pretty much mastered the Emma fight, and would regularly advance to Isshin without damage taken or spirit emblems spent
Cheesed Isshin phase 2 with firecrackers, to this day I still don't know how to avoid that AoE where Isshin nakes everything around him explode on fire
Ema is a weak cunt who makes ministry shinobi look like gods of combat.
Every canon for now.
>was trained in sword fighting only to take down the Shura/Demon, hates killing
>understands that Sekiro is on a verge of becoming one, still volunteers to help
>helps throughout the entire game, opens up to you and tells a lot of things about her own life, hints that she met you earlier
>cares about Sekiro's well-being enough to obscure all the info about purification ritual which would result in your death and if you become the next Sculptor stays by your side
>never backstabs you and stays helpful to the end, the only way to aggro her is by betraying literally everyone who cares about you
>Isshin phase 2
there is a fire on the floor, you should avoid stepping on it.
Also if you deflet/block(?) every follow-up attack of that pattern he get stunned
I havent gotten around to playing this game yet but could she be saying it as in it reminds her of how Sekiro acts?
everything you said is wrong because
>still volunteers to help
Isshin ordered her to help him because he didn't want Genichiro to get Heir's blood.
And yet she fucking helps despite understanding that you're a Shura candidate and a walking machine of destruction in disguise who should've been pre-emptively killed to avoid the whole region becoming a disaster zone.
>And yet she fucking helps
Yeah because she's serving Isshin?
She doesn't do anything for you besides offering healer help before Owl.
Whats the English Dub like?
>She doesn't do anything for you besides offering healer help before Owl.
It's almost like she warms up to Sekiro or something?
absolute garbage, don't even bother
There's one great part, the rest is forgettable.
It's a solid 7/10 despite the weebs that claim otherwise, some voice actors stand out like Isshin who is a 10/10.
Did they get any of the previous games' VAs back? Is the guy who voiced Laurentius in it?
not sure, but it's nowhere near the quality of previous games simply because main language of the game is JP
>MC is voiced by the same guy who did Charles in rdr2
Based.
No. The video shows you all the voice actors, has a few voice actors from FFXV like Ardyn Izunia and Noctis, at least one broadway/theatre actor and a few more people I don't know.
>talk to Sculptor
>Sekiro thanks him for saving Kuro
????
Damn, that's a shame. Thanks.
Sekiro sounds like an autist in both Japanese and English, I guess Shionbi don't have the greatest social skills but he could be a bit more talkative.
lol
?
>Charles is the fucking ninja
No wonder his mission is always stealth approach
doll is a thot
She was created by Gehrman to be his sex doll, so yes.
>Implying seiyu/idol culture isn't just Japanese thots
C'mon now.
If you hit him with a charged shuriken before he charges at you then it'll stagger him so you only have to deal with the fire.
>he doesn't know
If idol has sex her career is over.
fugg
That's because the Japanese are ultra conservatives when it comes to sex, but the place of Idols in Japanese culture is basically the same as low tier models who end up in porn here.
She fucks people who will employ her, not random guys. There are tens of thousands of wannabe voice actors, same as Hollywood. How do you think all the ones that make it were chosen?
The only difference is that Japs are beta and will never out their weird bosses, like the West did with Weinstein or what South Korea is going through right now.
>10/10
Do you realize all in game grunts are left in japanese? Also the dub actors also follow the retarded mistranslations.
>That's a shame
Did you seriously want to play this game with english voices?
>Do you realize all in game grunts are left in japanese?
And that has to do with Isshin's voice acting skills how? Grunts are going to sound similar if the voice actors sound similar and they do in Isshin's case.
As for your second point, no shit? 99.99% of the English players using the Japanese VA don't understand Japanese beyond a few words here and there, so it makes no difference unless you understand Japanese.
>what are subtitles
Why does the person who's voicing the character matter? All that should matter is their skill at it.
this shouldn't surprise me but emma VA is fucking HIDEOUS
holy shit
Good yet vastly inferior to the japanese version except for the Gyobu part.
Grunts hardly sound similar to their dub voices. Mistranslations makes the dialogues a mess. I bet you watch Dargon Ball abridged dumb amerilard.
You are dumb as fuck. The subtitles reflect the English dub, they're not a direct translation of the Japanese dub.
I don't understand this meme, Gyobu sounds imposing and manly in japanese while in english he sounds like a retard, the actor even has trouble pronouncing the character's name.
The Japanese dub doesn't exist as it's the original version. Don't pretend that the two voice options are equal.
You don't need exact translation word by word to appreciate good VA.
Dub is repulsively bad, playing with it is like not experiencing part of the game, since JP is original language intended by Miyazaki.
Fucking Isshin was voiced by Evolt from Build
holy fucking based
>The dub doesn't exist because it exists
Were you smacked on the head as a child?
That wasn't my point to begin with, idiot.
I still wanna know how a random white woman ended up in jipjap world.
I don't watch anime, I don't speak Japanese, and after listening to Owl and Jobichiro in the trailer I was going to play the game in English but everyone aside from those two sounded so fucking bad I went with the Japanese version instead. It's one of the worst recordings in any game, show, or movie I've ever come across and that Noshir Dalal guy should never get to work again.
See
Her name is Ema and it's a real japanese name. Nothing hints at her being foreign.
>Isshin who is a 10/10
You're legitimately fucking retarded if you think that Isshin's English VA is decent. The most badass and OP fucker in the game sounds like a goddamn grandma.
>It's one of the worst recordings in any game, show, or movie
I guess you've never watched a dubbed anime in your life? Anime voice actors are literal trash, only reason they're employed is because they're dirt cheap compared to professional voice actors.
Damn. You must play like 1 game a year if this is the worst you have ever heard
He's lucky, he hasn't heard the horror that is anime game dubs.
>Got the same actress to play Kuro and Divine Child and she didn't even differentiate their voices in the least
>Everyone's accents are all over the place because of the overacting and Isshin sounds like he's from India
Did they not hire a director? I heard Activision took over the English dub from Fromsoft so that explains why this is dogshit compared to Bloodborne and what little of Souls I remember. Compare any of this shit to Gehrman or Alfred or the cannibal beggar or just about anyone from that whole game. None of these VAs should get hired for another project Jesus Christ.
That faggot should be out on the street for how terrible he is at his job kek. Sounds like a twink trying to fake a badass accent.
Isshin also knows you're a Shura candidate. It's a risk he's willing to take, the dumb fuck.
Mod to fix translation errors, in case anyone is interested
Not particularly but I like the Souls cast, so yeah.
probably because he already "killed" shura once as he says in shura fight.
But he made a decision to risk it before he got sick.
Holy Shit. I didn't know the translation was this bad
Souls game have good voice acting in them because they are the original and intended version. Obviously they're going to be good.
Yeah Souls and BB had really good English voice acting, but since Sekiro's Japanese is the 'intended' version, they really cheaped out on the voice actors for English.
it's some serious b-tier shit
One thing that pissed me off to no end was Wolf saying "maeru" three times yet Activion translated this as something different each time. "One last time" against Genichiro sounds out of character and retarded.
most of the mod's fixes are horrible, namely boss names and the removal of Fountainhead Palace, which correctly conveys the intent of the original translation.
stop shilling your shit mod or fix it faggot.
>there's one European (probably Portuguese) in the entire game
>he's an unkillable god
Beta Japs know that Europeans are superior.
Aside from some Pokemon and DBZ when I was little, the only anime I've ever watched are Attack on Titan and Death Note. I think they're the most mainstream normie ones afaict and I started both in English. For attack on titan I switched to Japanese within about ten minutes because every character's voice felt like a drill being shoved into my head. The Japanese version was amazing though. Don't speak the language but the emotion and personalities of the characters come through incredibly well in it. Death Note, on the other hand, was top notch in English from the start.
Yeah I don't play a ton of things because I don't get invested in many things. Bloodborne kind of ruined everything for me. I platinumed Sekiro last night and now I'm kind of at a loss. Considered getting DMCV but I know I won't be able to stand the quirky quipfest stuff.
what
>"god"
>literally a joke
ok retard
I hope Vaati gets cocky and trips over himself because of mistranslations and make even shittier videos than usual kek
>ALL THE THINGS FOR THIS SUPER SECRET AND SUPER LEGENDARY AND NEVER DONE BEFORE FORBIDDEN RITUAL THAT IS ONLY RUMORED TO EXIST ARE RIGHT HERE, ALL OF THEM, AND YOU RUN BY THEN BY ACCIDENT
Cringe. It's best to ignore the story in From games
I mean I wasn't disputing any of that, it just would've been nice is all.
>withholds information that she knows will make you sacrifice yourself for Kuro
She really hates you huh
Armored Warrior cannot be damaged. The only way to "win" the fight is by being a rice eating monkey and pushing him off a bridge. We don't even know if he dies.
owned
>literally have to defeat ghosts/legendary monsters to get them
yeah right
Mind tell us why it is wrong then? That guy's reasoning sounds good to me to have it named like that.
Well, the problem with that is that it's apparently been done before.
>NEVER DONE BEFORE FORBIDDEN RITUAL
>NEVER DONE BEFORE
What's your iq? 40? 50?
>would've been nice to have americans pretend that they are japanese
Pretty sure most of the Souls cast are bongs, but whatever.
Nice desperate attempt to escape the dumb fact that all the ingredients happen to be on your path
Because the original text is meant to have a double meaning, with the second meaning (the name of the historical clan) being a historical reference to the jap people who play the game. If you're translating a game to a western audience, what are you going to prioritize? Correctly convey the in-world meaning of the original text (Fountainhead Palace), or change it to the name of a japanese clan that no one fucking knows about outside of Japan?
i think the choice is pretty clear, and the translators chose correctly.
A lot of the other changes in the mod are fucking retarded, like
>"Demon of Hatred" changed to "Hatred Demon"
>"Divine Dragon" to "Sakura Dragon"
The mod is the work of a weeb autist that completely misses the point of translations. The only problem with the translation is the same as past From games, the dialogue. Which isn't actually a huge problem, but there are a couple instances where the original japanese text simply conveys a much stronger feeling than what the english translation ends up showing.
>dialogs
that's the only thing that matters. You're the one being autistic because barely anyone gives a shit how the palace or dragon are called.
>(probably Portugese)
also
>I've chosen to leave the term as Fountainhead when they're explicitly referring to a source of water (Fountainhead Waters) and change it to Minamoto when referring to the location or the people who reside there.
Yeah, the only Westerners to be in Japan during that time period were Portuguese and Dutch. Robert is a common Portuguese name.
Wouldn't that be Roberto then
The ritual was done before, it was made to bless married people. Tomoe and Takeru probably reached Fontainhead Palace because they were in love.
But now the road is closed, a ghost created by an infested women keep a stone and an infested monkey guards the lotus.
Owl stole the branch of the everblossom but needed the dark blade or the mortal blade for this (kill infested beings), but as he was mortal, he couldn't use it.
Genichiro probably ignored about the fontainhead palace and focused on kuro to get immortality.
Isshin considered that strength is about skill.
The monks probably defended the fontainhead place, and any other people drinking the source water too much would probably ends up like them, having a worm inside. For some reason, only the mibu tribe could drink the water without being infested but they turn into dancing okamis.
wrong
What about the return ending ritual though
There is no Japanese DUB, you mongoloid. A DUB implies it is not the original, but DUBBED over with a different language. Japanese is the original version. Are you retarded?
Robert is a common Dutch name too.
your a gay weeb
*ahem*
So you're a dumb fuck arguing semantics then? Good to know. The only time it is acceptable to argue semantics is when it comes to law, any other time and it makes you an obnoxious faggot.
William came to Japan during the Edo period, right after the time Sekiro takes place.
Yea, but he came with the dutch
I don't know what you and that guy are discussing but every single sentence you wrote here is fucking retarded
>daisuke namikawa
what the fuck I didn't notice at all, and I almost always recognize his voice
>she was Isshins and Genchiros fucktoy
>she was leading you on the whole game
also how do you get to fight her? if you side with the owl?
And yet he wasn't Dutch.
He got there in 1600. And took part in the battle of Sekigahara, slaying that demon guy and then the giant skeleton.
that's what the japanese voice actor screams: "Roberto", which is a portuguese name.
that's how a dumb jap would pronounce Robert, too
Based form making the only possible pairing sekiro and kuro
B A S E D A N D S H O T A P I L L E D
But the Japanese can't end a word on a 't', it's always 'to'.
i fail to see the point
>He got there in 1600
RL Ashina clan is besieged and destroyed by Date Clan in 1589, so by the time William-sama arrived, it's already too late.
en.wikipedia.org
Domo arigato Mr. Roberto.
so it's basically impossible to know whether the "Roberto" is intended or not. You can't use VA as a guide because they pronounce everything that way, and you can't use the written text as a guide because they for whatever reason changed/translated some names for the english release.
He's probably not Portuguese anyway, since Roberto is not a very common portuguese name even nowadays, and even much less common in the 16th century.
QUESTION
Does this game have YYYOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!?
no, it has WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Why do we even kill Robert? He's not our enemy.
No you numbskull, Kuro is for Rice Loli
Actually the Japanese say "Roberuto" for Roberto, and "Robāto" for Robert.
You could use the original Japanese description of Robert's firecrackers.
In theory, at least,.
we never see roberto, only his dad, who's looking for a way to heal his son.
Same question then, why do we kill him?
neither of you will put down your sword on your important quest, you to help kuro, him to save his son
a tragic misunderstanding
he blocks your path
not one single fucking time
youtu.be
2:35
sounds like a Roberuto to me then.
If the Wolf wasn't such an autistic mute faggot, they could have talked it out.
He is our enemy. he doesn't want you to cross the bridge but you have to in order to get the mortal blade.
because he attacks you
i'm just trying to find the mortal blade to help my lord and this westaboo faggot in a huge suit of armour comes out of nowhere and wants to start a fight
>Talking it out with the Temple's gaijin fucktoy
Yeah I'm sure that will work.
Get your ears checked
i'll wait till its on sale
kuro a cute! CUTE!
For those that played the game is it worth the $60
Or pirate
100% worth it. 2019 is a great year for games.
>he thinks Owl (Father) is good translation
Get out, actishillsion
It's worth it, but i pirate it anyway cause i am poor.
>For some reason, only the mibu tribe could drink the water without being infested but they turn into dancing okamis
The Okami are seperate from the nobles you faggot
Really like her fight. If only she had 2-3 phases and changed her moveset with each of them.
Imagine her getting more desperately aggressive at her last phase or maybe push her gentle/defensive theme and give her some counters, like mikiri and/or counter stance.
it actually sounds exactly like the portuguese pronunciation of roberto, which would make sense if the npc was portuguese
It's worth it but I pirated it because fuck Activision
O'Rin is the better waifu
I just walked by and she was like "Don't pretend you don't see me", I had to kick her ass sorry for your waifu
That's just because he's saying Robert with a Japanese accent.
She always has PMS and attacks you
PLEASE HELP ME FIND THE SAUCE

>Wanting an irrelevant lord's used goods
...
I am a dub kind of person but decided to play in English voices since From usually has good English as their main dudes in other games. but it actually sucked, aside from a few characters. I recommend playing in Japanese.
fun fact: the English actor for Sekiro is the same as Charles from Red Dead Redemption 2. I don't think he's a great fit.
(not dub, meant I usually prefer subtitles)
> being wrong
> oh, just semantics
When it's used to call the english dub and the original voice-over equivalent, it's an important distinction.
The okami enemies would've been perfect, especially near the dancing stage.
Except that wasn't the point of the post at all, so yes it's semantics you idiot. The subtitles sub the English version, not the Japanese version. Any argument to how the Japanese voice work is referred to is arguing semantics, like a massive faggot.
It's worth it, but i pirate it anyway cause i am selfish
according to the other user you're wrong.
IS THERE SOMETHING WRONG WITH MY MONKEY BOOZE, BITCH
DRINK IT
What was the thing fromsoft did that hinted towards sekiro? Im trying to remember but cannot find it. Like how Marvelous Chester hinted at BB.
Is calling new products "second-hand" just semantics to you? No, it's just wrong. Don't be wrong.
It's worth it. I bought it after I pirated it because i'm a cuck.
me and my date 3 weeks ago
Yamamura
Did I miss any good dialogue?
If someone wrote a long detailed argument against a game and you're only response was pointing out that they called their pre-owned copy of the game new, yes you'd be arguing semantics like a massive faggot. :)
O'Rin made me look decent, I miss her so much.
Well the other user is wrong about two things then.
Yamamura is not nearly as obvious as the Marvelous Chester, could have been a coincidence.
I'll be your O'Rin, user
Do you mean in his placement? Because of you're talking about the guy himself, I don't see how you could make a more direct allusion to Sekiro than to have a warrior from an Eastern land where the dragon rules, who dresses almost exactly like wolf.
You'll practice parrying with me?
> long detailed argument
well you didn't, so that's easy. If it makes it easier to swallow for you, consider it a tip so you don't embarrass yourself in the future and your argument will be taken more seriously.
Where is it mentioned that there's a dragon who rules in the Eastern lands in Bloodborne? I don't remember that in his dialogue.
But Chester is much more obvious, he fights like a hunter in Bloodborne and does not roll, he comes from the future, dragged by the arm of Manus which is very similar to how the Amygdala works and his personality matches that of the strange things you see in Yharnam.
We already know there's a Eastern land in Bloodborne's world whereas Chester is extremely out of place in Dark Souls.
Why does Guardian Ape have a jar filled with shit?
>Sekiro is a hard ga-
youtube.com
youtube.com
A jar? He literally takes a shit and throws it on you.
The English dub for Sekiro wasn't done in-house like the other Souls games. It was done by Activision, and it really shows
why does the game have a stroke every time I visit Ashina Castle?
this literally never happens, unless its the english voice, which i havent heard
yes the subtitles change depending on the language you choose
It's when you first encounter Lady Butterfly in Hirata Estate
Why didn't the Wolf crossed the bridge from the roof instead?
