I had to hack my game and set my player's agility to 3000 before I moved at a speed I was comfortable with, and at that point running over any bump in the terrain could kill me from falling damage, so I was quicksaving/quickloading in mid air every couple of seconds. It got too frustrating and I stopped.

It depends on other factors but most people have a fundamental need to share their interests. The problem is that introverts have a deeper personal relationship with that stuff and get butthurt if it is received wrong. They want to share but not be judged.

I would say it's more that I don't like to socialise casually. With someone I know and respect and am comfortable with, I'll happily have very detailed and personal conversations, take a close interest in their opinions and their problems, and look for opportunities to deepen the relationship. I take my social interactions seriously, and expect them to be the foundation of lifelong relationships.

With randoms, though, unless I see something we have in common that we could bond over, there just isn't the same leeway for sincere and unguarded exchange. For example, most of my friends also go on Yea Forums, and understand the culture surrounding it - we still have varying personalities, but we are closely enough aligned that we don't need to hide our power levels at all with each other. On the other hand, if I just spontaneously brought it up at a party with all sorts of people, there would most likely be at least one person who goes into a shitfit because Yea Forums is an evil nazi website and I'm an alt-right bigot bla bla bla.

I don't feel shame at the thought that person disapproves of me, I think they're an idiot with worthless opinions, but the fact is dealing with them all the time would be a huge nuisance and particularly in the workplace making enemies can have harsh consequences. Again don't stress about this too much, you can't change entire groups at a time but you can influence people one at a time with a level headed discussion and slowly make change that way. If someone is like "I hate X race of people" don't react so much with hostility but question and ask them why they do and how did they come to think this way. Having the intelligence level of an ant puts you above the average person, because ants understand the notion of not doing something if it hurts you but continuing to do something if it's rewarding.
If you have such advanced knowledge as object permanence, cause & effect, or basic linear deduction, then you're easily top 20%, because you can figure out that fire is hot before you even step in it, and figure out that standing near the slow moving chainsaw dude is probably not as good of an idea as standing near the health machine without needing to be reminded of it.
Once you've unlocked "sentience", or the ability to think about whether what you're doing is working, then you've broken top 5% gold league ezpz.
And since you have a vague notion of "people's time" and "good enough", you have unlocked sentience.
You are top 5% based on that alone. Do not worry about wasting people's time or not being good enough. The average person is so very, very far below you that your presence is a welcome breath of fresh air.
