What made you choose this over mw2 or 3?

Man I remember being so excited for zombie map drops. I don't see how I enjoyed it so much back then, it's not very fun to me now.

One of if not the best campaigns

Zombies doesnt make up the difference when MW2 has objectively better MP (post-Akimbo Model nerf) and a better campaign.

COD4 single-player, MW2 multiplayer (aside from downgraded PC features).

Where did the series officially die for you? For me it was probably after Black Ops 2

the last cod i really played was world at war, but one consistent i hear in every cod conversation is mw3 was where cod started to decline. can anyone comprehensively explain to me what it was about mw3 that made it so bad?

It's Black Ops 2. Literally anything was viable in Black Ops 2. Yes, the MSMC and PDW were OP as shit when the game first came out but it evened out.

The main reason it was so good was because Pistols had a 2-hit kill range, making maining pistols actually viable and you got rewarded for not carrying a primary so you could do some pretty inventive support builds.

Or just use a Tac .45, scavenger, and 2 flash bangs and wreck everybody in FFA.

I never played MW3 but MW2 was the begining of the end in my opinion. In order to make up more content they added all this unfun, poorly balanced bullshit to the game like death streaks, ridiculous kill streak rewards and absolutely broken loadouts. The game was pretty fucking bad.

I never played the MP because I don't suck dicks but the campaign was the first one to only feature super elite tacicool spec ops and no missions about grunts.

Removed everything that made MW2 good and the balance was absolute ass. Wasn't as bad as Ghosts, but it was pretty bad. It was because this is when Infinity Ward split up and the game was a rushed cash grab using the Modern Warfare name. Black Ops 2 washed away the pain, though.

Alternatively, use 4chans average age demographic and that will tell you what people will vote for as the best COD, because most people here didn't even play United Offensive

How is specialist mode? Been playing all of the pre-MW3 CoD's on Veteran and it looked interesting

Never attempted it myself, but it's pretty brutal from what my friend told me. It uses a limb based damage system I think.

Advanced Wars on Vet felt like CoD2 on Normal so hopefully it's not pussy shit like it's modern counterparts

i really wished for zombies in MW2. mw2 had the best guns by far. double models or spas12 for zombies would have been too good.

W@W has some good custom zombie maps with MW2 guns and aesthetics.
