protagonist is shit sequel with custom char is better

It's decent. It doesn't do anything amazing, but the concept is cool, and it plays well after all the patching it got.

It's utter shit.

Doesn't feel like cyberpunk at all, just generic sci-fi setting.

Looks like an All You Need Is Kill ripoff

It's definitely a solid game that's generally overlooked. The limb targetting feature is really nice. Also one of the few developers that actually do DLC right.

this but unironically

Skin too white

No
Just no
It’s close to being good but isn’t

True

It's good. All it needs to be excellent is a little more refined gameplay and a decent story

No, but it is basically half-life 1 with exosuits and melee combat. There are also some pretty neat mechanics in there that ended up getting put into Sekiro. It's a 7/10 at best but it tries harder than average to be unique out of the souls clones.

Yeah exoskeletons were NEVER done before

yes it is

Sekiro really brought the worst out of Souls fags

probably the best visual design i've seen in years but the anti-sunfags like to shit on it

>game has shit combat, repetitive and uninspired level design, no story, superficial rpg mechanics, babbies first crafting, shit ng+, no enemy variety, lol balancing, no music, poorly thought out game mechanics, no depth, takes less than 20 hours to complete 100% and a lot of that time is spent falling in dark holes that can't be seen due to shit level design
>somehow a character editor will make it better
kys faget
that game was just a shameless dark souls clone cashgrab with minimum effort put into it

yep they sure designed all of the 10 assets in this sub 15 hour game well and did a great job copypasting them into their 5 tiny levels

those Proteus mofos scary though. Imagine you being trasplanted into terminator and ending up with a 2yo mental level.

No it didn't came out on Nintendo sorry.

It was pretty good, but a little lacking in enemy variety. A huge portion of enemies were just zombies with various weapons. Souls and Nioh had loads of non humanoids.

What did the patches do, specifically?

remove quicksaving
no really

>Fuckall for healing items despite it using the bonfire system
>Almost every enemy is a massive damage sponge if you don't specifically target exposed areas
>Except you. You're a fucking baby.
>Fighting more than one enemy at once is grueling un-fun bullshit.
>Most of the areas, while each having a theme, are extremely generic and labyrinthian to navigate due to how similar everything looks
>Constant non-boss enemies immune to damage unless you slowly grind out a weak-point pattern
>Nearly pointless level-up system

7.9 was generous.

What a fucking waste of a solid combat system.

Is that really all? Doesn't sound like it would change much.

game sucks. At some points you have to go back to previous locations and there is almost no indication of when where and who you have to speak to.

>Fuckall for healing items despite it using the bonfire system
There were mountains of healing options. There was two type of potions, an upgrade that converted energy into healing, and passive heals on execution animations. The xp multiplayer system even incentivized you to minimize bonfire usage and the game gave you a ton of ways to heal without having to go back to a bonfire.

Maybe if you had gotten good and didn't quit on the second level you would've realized that none of those are actual issues.
From mid-game on the leveling system becomes really interesting and it also lets you take as many healing items as you want, in exchange for other equipment with multiple different kinds of healing you can choose from.
>Constant non-boss enemies immune to damage unless you slowly grind out a weak-point pattern
Use the unique dodge mechanic to counter.

I didn't understand the game: the post.

>Also one of the few developers that actually do DLC right.
Elaborate

can someone explain to me the story of the game? I played through it twice and still don't really understand. I get that you go unconscious and wake up a like 4 days later, but why does everything look like a dilapitated shithole? You've only been asleep for awhile, but the biolabs for instance, have tons of holes and sand covering them like they haven't been worked on for years. Also just what caused the surge or what was it? What was that AI nurse bitch's deal?

These guys were easy to kill once you targeted their tail and cut it off. Same for those rectangular trash-bots. If you want REAL pain, those nanomachine blobs at the end of the game were awful to fight.

Unironically my favorite enemy

I liked it a lot. Cool music, awesome locations and some actually brilliant gameplay aspects.

Definitely enjoyed it more than Souls 2 and partially DaS1.

Then Souls 2 and the second half of 1 are absolute trash.

WAS ROME BUILT IN A DAY?

All you need is Kill has actual full body suits unless you mean the shitty Tom Cruise movie.

I remember playing it at launch and shelving it just a few hours in because I was still fatigued from beating Dark Souls 2.

I haven't played DLC but the surge was not explained in the base game.

The nurse was an AI trying to save the corporate board but failed. You can find her server in one room.

The CEO of creo is missing so I assume it involved him. Or maybe someone else trying to stop their new project.

it changes everything

Not only have they given out free DLC but it's not all not chock full of cosmetic DLC out the wazoo and the larger DLC are equivalent to actual expansion packs of old. Also they managed to release an expansion while still working on a sequel.

I WAS BORN

What was that about a hacker getting locked into the server room?
God, I wish they hadn't gone full Fromsoft pretentious with the story. It's the only thing that legitimately annoys me.

*angry machine noises*

I
WAS

IN A PRISON

CreoWorld is god Tier but the rest is really bland. Hope the surge 2 will have the DLC's Level design

great game.
shame it didn't get the credit it deserved.
