i just remember this shit being at first about a card game with those ball thingies, then something about aliens and fighting them with robots or some shit like that.

They were GP-based, you could still gain or lose them but like 200-300 of them if you are pretty good, don't remember exactly but you get the point, you still cannot win if the opponent has enough advantage.
The DS minigames allowed you to overpower the opponent no matter your starting point.

Right is worked on by Nelvana's in house team and made for Americans primarily so they're missing the god tier waifus and insanely wacky antics of the original. Also they don't have access to characters from the left due to Sega owning then so they had to redo the whole cast.

You had to use a power shot and basically risk landing on a gate card under powered instead of going around the field collecting Gs. You had to line it up PERFECTLY and have full power in the throw. From there you need to hit them dead on without bouncing, its way easier to do on a gate card near you than further from you but with enough practice you can do it from far away too.
This is all without using the special attribute throws btw.

Good thing this didn't have any multiplayer, that would be the biggest FUCK YOU to another player.

Also MP fucks you over since when you throw they can shoot at you to send you off course and obviously whoever you're targeting is going to be shooting you like crazy. It's only really viable against CPUs.

Just as an example this is what its best for

>Next round you have advantage if the other 2 CPUs don't fight each other.
It's basically a baiting tactic to give you the advantage on the next turn cycle so other human players will also often see through that.
