Why is Steve's haircut so bad? Is it supposed to be relatable to stupid kids with bad haircuts?

I can't fucking believe he gave up his role for a fucking rapping career (which failed)
Angel Adams
That's a pretty typical late '90s haircut
Lucas Cooper
white knight chronicles 1 & 2
Your create a character ends up actually being the side kick and another male character with an actual name and story is the chosen one and gets the girls. None of the other party members except the main one ever actually acknowledge your existance, despite the fact you carry them through every single battle.
Brandon Nguyen
The only people I knew with hair like that even in the late 90s were mentally disabled
Brandon Jackson
He retired cause he was going bald. He didn't want kids to see Steve age. So he quit and made music.
It's not too bad either.

That sounds exactly like Anthem and not the kind of game I was asking for
Justin Cox
That's one among many rumors that weren't true. He just didn't want to be a kids host and as other user said he was balding.
Pic related. I can find more, if you'd like.

Pathologic is the arguably best case of Fourth Wall breaking ever featured in a videogame, and one of the few that managed to achieve something more than just jokes or vapid spouting of metanarrative truisms.
If you want other games that play with the subject, there is a game called Consortium that heavily featured this gimmick. Plus, there are those famous (but largely overrated) cases like MGS, Stanley's Parable, Undertale, and to a lesser degree, SpecOps's.

They're the same fucking cuts his is just shorter. He was named the most eligible bachelor at one point. Regardless of how you feel it is a typical haircut for that time.
Noah Russell
No it isn't, what you posted is a real haircut of the era and what Steve had was just a bad haircut. It's not just shorter, it's done poorly.
Ryder Bell
fuck that slaps dude

He was balding.

Tbh Pathologics 4th Wall breaks are more Like an adendum after the actual story has been told, and a way for the devs to get a Word in before you exit the stage, quite literally.

he was starting to go bald at the end of his run. in fact its why he gave up the role
Adrian Baker
Isn't this the whole point behind Spec Ops: The Line?
Alexander Wilson
How come his replacement never felt nearly as good for the show

I mean most people might already know the game but it's still a good suggestion
Carson Adams
Bravely default does it, you actually appear in the game as a god via the game's camera.
Grayson Evans
Tearaway. It even kinda feels like a children's cartoon so it's extra Blue's Clues-y
Jordan Young
I can't believe he had a crippling cocaine addiction. Doing it in his own dressing room before any filming. What an irresponisble role model for any child. So sad! Many such cases.
