But Black Flag is a great game in a shit series.
I thought Black Flag was the best game of the AC series.
How different is it too the other ACs really?
Forget that Black Flag was an AC game for a bit and realize that it's the best pirate game in existence
there was a disney pirate mmo that was kinda fun. had poker, other stuff too with the fantasy from carribean. would reccomend you try out the private servers
I wish more people knew about Salt
I agree and disagree. It had some great elements to it, but it was bogged down by the typical AC problem of following behind people eavesdropping for half the missions and walking with someone through a town rather than just having a cutscene
>hasn't heard of monkey island
Blag Flag is a good half-ass pirate game especially if you ignore all the ass creed bullshit and just play it like a knock off Pirates! Gold, which is the best pirate game ever made.

>no good pirate games
>SoT exists
user...
I don't see anything conflicting with this statement
Solid movie, gets solid game.
already 2 for SNES. Other consoles aren't even trying.
It's not good yet, but the Anniversary update might fix it.
>Arena for PvP autists
>Tall Tales for PvE/lore autists (one even takes you to a magic island beyond the map edge)
>cooking, animals drop meat and there's more fruit
>fishing, fish can be cooked, also Merrick's back as the new 'fishing guild' rep so you'll probably be able to fish for commendations like Animal Crossing
>harpoon swivel guns
>CHESTS YOU CAN ACTUALLY OPEN (found one earlier, it had a pile of coins in it that added to my gold count but it didn't despaen, I suspect you can store skulls and relics and such in them too for easier transport)
I'm an Insider (tester) btw
Sounds good. But right now I'm in a Borderlands mood because of the recent Borderlands stuff.
Maybe when the update drops I might come back.
Yeah I was working on a Tall Tale earlier and honestly those are probably the biggest part of the update, they take the regular voyages and ramp them up to almost WoW quests
For example, my buddy and I tracked down a skeleton chest and then the key, we opened the chest and it contained a pair of relics. We returned them to the Order of Souls lady and she made them into a magic compass which we used to track down a really badass skellyman captain who could FUUS me across the island and teleport, he dropped the rarest skull I've ever sold, over 20k gold I think
>skeleton chest
>skellyman captain
Skeletons. Well, theres a surprise...
Pirate Warriors games are decent. There is also that Sid Meyer's pirates game, Monkey Island and Black Flag is above average.
I know I know, skeletons are getting boring but its a huge step to fixing the 'dig up chest' loop. Plus you can basically guarantee they're adding giant crabs and other megafauna
Also I forgot pets, you can get little monkeys and parrots so they might make big hostile variants. Personally I'd like to fight a Roc or a Cyclops like a Harryhausen movie
Black Flag was good but the story is complete shit. The only really great game in the franchise is 2.
Blackwake was pretty good, on humble bundle or something ages ago. Got friends all got it and we crewed our ship together.
Wonder if it's still got players, the devs seemed pretty nice.
I vaguely recall Koei having released a pirate sim game in the past, or was that just general shipfaring and adventuring?
There are decent mods though. HotA for HOMM III and X-Piratez for Xcom.
>every pirate game is multiplayer shit and dead
where is my single player piracy game?
You'll have more options if you consider space piracy.
LADS
I'd argue Brotherhood carried on 2's success
It's called life, bro
Sea of Thieves is unironically pretty okay. Its a chill game in general until you come in contact with other players
Shit game in good series*
Terrible story, terrible acting, terrible writing, and terrible gameplay. Ship combat is okay but it's not good or interesting enough to sustain a whole game. Scattered undeveloped islands were as uninteresting to explore as they are in real life, and a huge over focus on espionage/following missions. Very little assassination missions.
I will never ever understand why people like this game.
Um, sweety?
I remember one of the Pirates of the Caribbean games on DS being really good
ever played sid meiers pirates? its probably the only good one around
