Tough choice, 2 is a fair bit sillier and has aging (even if it is only for the active family), but 1 has SOUL and amazing music even with its obvious limitations in stuff like character creation the art direction carries it.

1 was also a fair bit harder to juggle needs in, in 2 the Ambitions/Whims means you can use Platinum Mode as a crutch to not babysit the needs as much, although Age means you now have time limits in 2 while in 1 you have all the time in the world.

It might just be me but i recall fatality rate being much higher in 1 then any of the sequels, but it might be because no age means Sims only die by random accidents and fuck-ups.

I think it is worth noting that the Sims 1>2 jump is probably the only one where fans didn't consider the old one with expansions superior on the release of the newer since enough of the "good stuff" was carried over from 1 and the new additions were so significant.

Vampires make me think they will just do Life States as Gamepacks rather then expansions.

I like the supernatural Lifestates, the issue i have with them is only if the Story Progression messes up the ratios so "normies" are the minority and that you need to actively hunt them down and curing is so trivial, and considering Plantsims are already kinda fucked for 4 since they are just a temporary buff.

I think we will probably get a Witch pack this year since the fans are begging for them, I actually kinda want Werewolves more then Witches/Wizards/Fairies, partly because it would hopefully mean official bodyhair options. Im hoping it will go more of a Makin' Magic route for the Neighborhood (if they add one, and they probably will) if it happens, i liked the Gypsy thing and 4 seems determined to go for many small neighborhoods and Forgotten Hollow kinda got the GOTHIC AND DREARY covered.

The Sims is good. Most of the expansions fit the theme of the game well enough. Makin' Magic is just completely shoehorned in and doesn't fit The Sims at all. I hate that faggot who turns up with the box leaving his wacky magic tables on my doorstep. I hate TS3 and TS4 where every other sim is some wacky vampire or wizard or fairy or all that dumb shit.

I wouldn't call Makin' Magic entirely flawless though, the "BTW MAGIC" Starter Box at the start of every new family is annoying when you don't want to do a magic family. That said, i think it can get away with being as "Cheaty" as it is because it was the final expansion, and having some way to make kids to adult, if ones with random appearance, was a good addition to tide over until Sims 2.

I'm personally not a big fan of the Superstars expansion. I just found trying to be a celebrity to be more of a hassle than it's worth.

The next Sims needs to drop the pre made shit maps we got in the last few games and let you go nuts like Sims 2 did, shame it will never happen since 4 and anything onward will be designed with absolute retards in mind

Bigger Neighborhoods doesn't need to be full blow Sims 3 Open World but 4 is fucking claustrophobic and has only recently gotten better about giving you space for character housings and special lots due how many small ones been added over the years.

Offical Townie Generation Control, including a option to have them not be generated, but snagged from the Gallery with options to choose how (IE: Anything, Followed Creators, Curated) like Spore or just plain turned off without Mods necessary (IE: what characters you put in the town are who exist and fill service roles, no Townies EVER).

Rework Emotions so they aren't as extreme/impactful or easy to manipulate, try keeping them in the background rather then the forefront, Fuck, just do the Facial expressions instead of actually stating the emotions everywhere and "replace" the unique variations of general commands with just the general command and have the unique variation be a surprise, whether a negative one or positive one, Drop Emotion Aura items for the base game add them as high-end Expansion rewards if they must have them.

Lot Traits, they were honestly the best thing about the City Living by far.

Chemistry AKA Turn-Ons/Turn-Offs, they were great to have good control over your sims tastes and make visuals have impact on gameplay/simulation, also a easy way to force a sim to be Straight/Gay in CAS.

Pretty much, 4 is finally starting to get somewhere after years of free patches and mods fixing shit they "forgot" on release and packs out the ass, but i would say it is still nowhere near 3+EVERYTHING, but 3 has its own issues with performance.

The best thing with 3 and goofing around is the open world is pretty comfy, and 4 lacks it favoring (now a shitton of) small areas with fairly short loadscreen transitions between them.

Yeah, probably. Just for the love of god put it on an SSD and set a manual frame limiter for it, the game doesn't limit its own framerate which causes an overworked GPU and stutter.

Sims 1 is unironically the hardest to play legit without cheats. The moodlets just drop too fast, and people are complete cunts if you try to make friends for job promotions. God help you if you play an 8 sim household.

The Sims isn't hard at all. The Sims started as a strategy game of efficient house building, and toybox second. Only later on did it become the dollhouse for 14 year old girls to live out their relationship drama fantasies and play dressup. That demographic would obviously struggle with The Sims's needs.

Roofs in Sims 2 were the worst btw. I still haven't figured out how to make them look good.

The original is a classic with a special charm and sense of humor, as well as an iconic soundtrack but I prefer 2 in every way and consider it one of my favourite games. It has an amazing atmosphere of its own; each expansion adds its own twist to the iconic original soundtrack, the humor is there, it adds some revolutionary mechanics to the original game's foundation and it hits the right spot when it comes to the number of expansions vis-a-vis their content. Also, it has that special peak 00s atmosphere that's simply captivating.

I'm running out of things to do in Sims 2 other than trying silly interactions like this.

Strangerville was actually kinda nice as a one off, it was basically what Oasis Spring should have been aesthetically and in theme and the Shady Acres are blatantly good area for a SPA resort (those are kinda hard to squeeze in IMO), and i liked the idea of the world changing with a progressing "story" I never watched Stranger Things. that cause town events, so i think the idea of having the occasional Neighborhood specific "Town Crisis" plots to progress could work on the side for the more Goal oriented player, not all supernatural obviously, i'd imagine a mundane one could be "SAVE THE PARK/LANDMARK FROM BULLDOZING".

It is still kinda small though but that is a issue chronic to Sims 4 in general so i won't single it out for it, frankly the biggest draw of Strangerville for me was the additional Lots, not the best Game Pack, but not the worst (I'd say that goes to Spa Day).

I'd say 3, 4 is getting there though. 4 does have some site that is all about SEX AND MURDER mods.

I know 2 has at least one sex mod, but even back before 4 people said to just use 3 and Kinkyworld instead.

As easy as it usually is to torrent (IE: Piss), and mods are basically Drag and Drop to the Mod folder, but Wicked Whims actually has a installer for complete brainlets so it is effortless, still gotta drag and drop the other mods for more animations and items to use animations on though.

And if your Sim is a NEET? Well loads of time to spend repairing and after the first one is done it is smooth sailing for the family since it is more profitable then actually working, it is hardly the only "cheat item", but being as cheap as it is makes it stand out.

4 also has a bit of a issue with this, make a big enough garden and the proceeds from Harvests cover hiring a gardener to do the actual work while your Sim can do basically anything and still make about as much money as if they were working (and expanding less effort).

Honestly it is almost more effort to stay a Poorfag then to get rich in 3 and 4.

1 is the one you needed to fight tooth and claw to get anywhere and improve your family just to get CHANCE TIME'd and pushed to a new career once at the top, suddenly making less then what you did before. Though the expansions "fix" this by various means (Genie, Potions, Magic, etc).

Also had some performance and shadow issues and shit. Couldn't get into it at all.

My fondest one was playing TS2 as a teen. It's not the same anymore, back then a friend told me about the sex mods so I learned how to make naked sims in the bodyshop proram and then went to sexysims.com and downloaded some sex mods for TS2. That's how I figured out I'm gay btw, I preferred the mods where men were naked and such. Anyways, I had one male sim called Javier Sims and I made him fuck half the men in the city with Sux McNutty's orgy rug and shower. He became BFF with most of them and I also made him fuck bigfoot from the bon voyage expansion, a Justin Bieber sim I downloaded from modthesims and oh he also got an alien baby, 13 year old me had tons of fun with TS2, let me tell ya.
