How mad would people be if they just took away the dumb loot shit and just gave you permanent weapons that you had to git gud with over the course of the game?
I hated having to feed my white and yellow weapons into my purple weapons and combing my purple weapons together to get some dumbass +5% skill attached to it so that it's different from the other rng weapons. Managing that bullshit was about as fun as working at a call center.
Sure, they can keep the leveling and the stats. But I don't want to see shit like this again, even though I'm asking for too much.

The loot pinata system was one of the defining features of Nioh. I think the only thing that needs to be changed is the living weapon although it looks like it will be changed to Yokai form in the sequel.

Since Ryu's ancestor was in Nioh, what are the chances another Ninja Gaiden or even Dead or Alive character gets a cameo? I really expect Nyotengu to be a boss or NPC at some point she's a youkai.

I know and it hurts. I love ninja/shinobi shit like Ninja Gaiden or Sekiro and making builds in Dark Souls, but fucking hate rng loot.
I also love how they handled their demos, community feedback, and followed through on their promises of free and paid dlc.
Nioh is a game I respect/love, but can't fully enjoy.
