Persona 5 was shit, and i say this as someone who only likes Persona, Final Fantasy & Zelda. It was so fucking terrible from a writing standpoint, the kamoshida arc was the only well written part of the game

I mean, I already have Persona 5 on PS4, and I have a Switch. I''m just holding off on replaying until I get a definitive answer from Atlus on what all these announcements they keep delaying are for.

I unironically stopped my PS3 playthrough mid playthrough since I figured if it comes out on the Switch I'd want to play it on that instead.
But now that Joker is about to be released in Smash I am thinking I might have made a mistake. Especially I was having really fun with the game and miss it.

I am kind of tired of games screwing me over with re-releases though. Like when I played the Disgaea games only for objectively superior versions to come out for the PSP/Vita. Systems I had except that I had all my hours and progress on the console versions.

Hopefull P5 gets on Switch, I want more people to play it because I like the game so much, but why does Sega/Atlus keep putting off on announcing what P5R/P5S is?

To be fair atlus hasn't ever had stellar writing. Their stories can be entertaining at the best of times and a slog/nearly non-existent at the worst of times. Persona's main draw is the social sim aspect and light dungeon crawling.

Nah Persona 2 IS is genuinely the most well written game ever, and DDS2 was amazing as well before they ruined it with the ending

It's basically a visual novel with how brain dead easy it is but yeah I'd say it has one of the best stories in a Persona/Megaten game at least.

When I started playing 2 I came in expecting the enjoyment of pulling teeth but what I got was the most "ok" gameplay in a mainstream rpg series this side of DQ. It's literally just any pre-press turn megaten game with a bizarre clunky fusion system, I personally find it much more accessible than Soul Hackers, for example.
