I have the update already. Here's my biggest gripe.
>play Spyro 2
>talk to a character
>dialogue plays as normal and the camera refocuses on Spyro when you hit X
>play Spyro 3
>talk to a character
>dialogue plays but when you hit X you have a split second delay where you can move Spyro before the camera awkwardly realigns itself to be behind him again
They can't even get this right. 3 also still has a lot of awkward model/object pop-in. After I got all five characters for the Whirligig and went to Evening Lake, I went right back to Midday Gardens and as I landed the five characters were still there frozen like the game "forgot" to remove their models, then in a split second it updated and they disappeared. Happened again with the rocket, went to Midnight Mountain, back to Evening Lake, five characters are still there in t-pose before disappearing. It's just little bugs like that, 1 and 2 don't have shit like that.

I'd recommend the PSX versions honestly, since they had actual care put into them, but if you haven't played any of the original trilogy but the first one, then you probably won't mind the remakes.

It was rushed to hell and back because Activisions deadline for them was absurd given how big the three games they were remaking were. It's blatantly outsourced.
Though Spyro 3 was a buggy rushed piece of shit in the original release too so I guess in a way it's faithful

The remake of 1 is fantastic and 2s is mostly as good as the original unless you're an autist like me who does glitch runs of it. 3 is a weak link but there's a good chance it'll be patched like Crash was when it got ported to PC and Switch, they've already fixed the game breaking bugs.

Beenox is a z-tier dev that's only made spiderman, shovelware, and ports, and their newest product is a 30 FPS arcade racer in the year 2019. It's undoubtedly going to get fucked by Activision's endless penny pinching too, so expect a day one patch to download the rest of the game that you bought and fix the countless glitches that pop up because they hired poos and koreans to copypaste code and make cheap assets for pennies.

I couldn't tell you, I haven't played the game in years but I know what I saw. I even had a friend of mine get on my ass because I thought the game looked good and he said it was 30 fps shit. Showed him the video and he said it wasn't 30 fps. I don't know what people want from the CTR remake but it looks just as playable as the original. I even fired up my old save for kicks. Goddammit why can I never consistently pull off the Sewer Speedway shortcut?

Yeah the Sewer Speedway one is the only one I could never get consistently, although back in the day I managed to get the platinum relic so kid me was clearly better at the game than I am now. Only difference is that today I was smart enough to practice until I could do the Papu's Pyramid shortcut every time.
