There are two reasons.
One, socially anxious faggots who stutter and get crackly voices around the idea of sex, because they have legitimate mental health problems, and they (for some fucktarded reason) think that getting a GF would be a better solution to these problems than trying to repair their own personality or brain chemical balance. These people cannot handle themselves around the concept of sex without going 200% spaghetti.
