even the vocaloid voices are mostly taken from an actual voice actor and reworked as a synth to be able to say anything you want. (and this mostly only works due to how japanese language works mostly in syllables, unlike english).
any vocaloid song you hear is going to be all done by a musician (although live instruments with vocaloid is pretty rare). vocaloid really just serves as a way for people to write music with lyrics without needing a person who can sing well.

I've heard this chart is kind of lacking but it personally introduced me to 36g's 'The Raingazer's Song' and PCVOX on a Dance Floor's 'my temperature', which are both really great albums. I would listen to more but it's a genre which gets overbearing quickly and there's lots of meh stuff, so it's slow. Anyways, hope this helps somebody.

It's one of the reasons I love Vocaloid so much. Even if the song doesn't have top notch tuning just knowing the effort it takes to make it gives it a special kind of charm.

I like some of it too. These vocaloid producers are very good to begin with if you take away the actual robotic vocaloid singing, it's just icing on the cake that they're able to make vocaloids sing good enough for people to buy into the songs themselves for the singing and not the impeccable arrangement and production.
