Grand Theft Auto 4 was far from perfect, but

Why did Grand Theft Auto 4 have FAR more enterable, populated interiors than 5 did? Why couldn't you buy food and drinks from street vendors/fast food restaurants in 5? Why did 5 simplify the euphoria ragdoll physics so drastically? I thought games that are sequels were supposed to improve and build on their predecessors, but Grand Theft Auto 5 has managed to be the least immersive game in the series.

Because they have to improve the graphics so normalfags buy the games.

Same reason a lot of other older games have way more depth than anything we get today.

Most people were upset with the how easy it is to fall out of the car in 4.

It's always one step forward, two steps back with R*.

>walk into a store
>can't bring out a weapon
>is robbery not in this game?
>no, walk out the of the store
>pull out your gun
>walk in while aiming
what the actual fuck

Realistic crashes where you fell out the side of the car with no door because you didn’t wait to put on your seatbelt before driving off is GOAT mechanics.

Eternal answer: Consoles

Wish that hospital interior was bigger, was the funnest place in the game to have a shootout. Would've been even better with a couple more corridors and halls connecting so you're not just camping.

GTA 4 worked on consoles well, though. If Rockstar dropped the underwater terrain no one gave a shit about, they could have had the level of detail they had in 4 on Xbox 360 and PS3.

but user, everybody was so excited about the submarine.

Jump into any GTA Online lobby and tell me how many people you see using the submarine. 0, because everyone's using the fucking flying cars and rocketbikes.

before release, all anyone talked about was how they were going explore the miles of samey ocean floor

In case you haven't noticed for the past decade or so the name of the game for AAA titles has been regression, stagnation, and politicization instead of meaningful improvements to gameplay. There's a diamond in the rough every now and then, but they're becoming increasingly rare,

We use to do Sub drops from the transport helicopter in online.

WHOOOOOOOOOOAHAAAAAAAAAAA

>>Naaaat fucccking fuuunaayh
I like to think that it's Nico saying that to the player

>shooting the 1hp patients laying on the bed
Hehe

Or just shoving them

I'LL RIP YOUR FUCKING HEART OUT
[screams]

Funny, that only happens when you're bad at driving and crash into shit constantly. The people who complain about the driving just never took the time to get gud at it. 5 offered instant gratification, you can even magically flip your cars when they're upside down in 5.

No me replied correctly. The real answer is online; same reason they downgraded Red Dead 2’s graphics, even single player.

How about cops pit maneuvering? In 4, they actually do it. In 5, they ram (or barely tap) your bumper and you go flying all over the place. They don't even attempt to pit maneuver.

And they try to kill you if you stand near them for more than 30 seconds. The only way you can get arrested is if they pull you out of a car.

And in 5, I've never seen cops around, they only appear when you get in trouble. In 4, they were an actual part of the city.

Better question, why does Yea Forums suck IV's dick for being realistic yet shit on RDR2 for the same things??

The realism in 4 isn't tedious.

They actually do

They also have a boxing manouver used against slower vehicles like trucks if you happen to drive them

>press l3+r3 to milk cow

I've never seen it happen. Are you sure this isn't a mod? I remember it being a common complaint about downgrades when the game first came out.
