/vg/ is a far slower board compared to Yea Forums
RoR2 threads (and other threads of relatively new games) tend to hit bump limits fast.

going to the next level jumps the difficulty so you want to get as many items as you can before you go. you can either farm before hitting the tele, or rush the tele and grab loot after. keep in mind that you can keep enemies spawning so you can kill them for cash by leaving the bubble before it hits 99%.

Some mobs have a mod that converts some of their max hp to shield, so if you kill one of those mobs you lose a bunch of HP which ges converted to shield, then goes away after 8 seconds. Can kill you easily.

Take advantage of his high attack speed with on-hit items like stickybombs, daggers, leech seeds, and ukeleles. Also boost his attack speed with syringes. And of course movement items like hooves and sodas, and defensive ones like teddies are good on just about everyone.

Every character is OP when you hit 2+ hours game time. I had a 2 hour artificer game where I one shot the map with a single M2 because of the endless procs.

If the question is who is the easiest to play without items, its H-T and Engi. But the longer you go the more viable everyone becomes.

Well he is kinda hard in early game but his attacks have really good range compared to the other survivors and in late game, he procs more than MUL-T. It's also useful to know when to run like a bitch and attack from maximum range, even if it means wasting time not charging the teleporter

Don't search maps for that 1 chest that MIGHT be in a corner somewhere. Don't go after chests where you see it, but its a gorillian miles away. Don't touch sacrifice shrines with enemies around. Do get sticky bombs. Do understand what would increase your damage with your current items. Do understand that flaming lemurians are a cancer to this world.

Adding more stages if good and all, but I would like to see some of the existing ones improved on. Whether as a base upgrade or maybe as it loops more and more areas open up. If they made the first stage bigger than it is, its just going to get boring since you move so slow.

I'm fine with this happening on before loop 1. But we were past loop one and like 40 minutes in or so (mainly because me and the huntress were carrying him). So he couldn't kill anything afterwards. He couldn't even kill lemurians/beetles that were non-elite.

because all characters main source of power growth is through on hit effects which means eventually, if you survive long enough, every character will just be a minigun of procs.

He doesn't cover Distant Roost properly but he does cover every other location. No matter what there is ALWAYS one newt shrine per map.

For Distant Roost:
The easiest newt shrine is located at one of the spawn locations. Its the location where there is sometimes a land bridge leading to the island off the main map. Go to that area, and you'll notice there is a large hole in the ground with a small peice of land connecting that area to the rest of the map, look down the hole, you'll see two rocks, the newt shrine spawns on one of those rocks. Once you drop down and activate it just jump off the edge and you respawn with 25% less HP.

The second newt shrine is in his video, on the island which you sometimes have access to via a land bridge at the top level behind a rock.

The final shrine location is through that large stone door which is sometimes open, behind the pillar at the back of the room.

Good luck not dying using it because you have to be right up in their face to hit them

Overloading monsters have half their health in shield. Shield regenerates if not hit for a couple seconds. Now add a worm that jumps high and buries underground. You miss one chance to hit it and now it has regained half its health again.

Overloading Worms have a completely normal looking healthbar though, compared to elites where you can clearly see part of their health is shields.

Overloading Worms aren't actually overloading elites. They just have buttloads more HP than other enemies including normal Magma Worms for some reason.

Overloading monsters don't have shields user. Theres no overloading monsters in the game yet besides the wurm. Your thinking of the shield monsters that explode after they die and i don't think any boss comes in that varient

I've noticed whenever a flying enemy dies all rockets immediately change direction, except for Greater Wisps. It seems the death animations for most enemies preserve their hitbox or lock-on point for homing projectiles. If this wasn't the case I imagine missiles being much more efficient even with their terrain collision.

Prismatic trials have had Overloading bosses.

And on Drizzle it gives you an invisible item that reduces damage by around 50% or so.

I could've sworn I tested this and disposable missile launcher does pass through terrain, but fireworks don't.

It's called Silence Between Two Strikes and the effect was "Become an Aspect of Lightning" and it gave me the electric elite attack buff where my attacks caused electric bursts on hit. The wiki says it drops from Elite mobs randomly.

It's an extremely rare equipment that can drop from the three different elite buffs, Blaze Glacial and Overloaded accordingly. It isn't in the item log sadly.

Get large chests, but only grab white chests around the teleporter or if they're on the way
Later stages you should collect everything, but on the first two or three enemies spawn so slow it's not worth farming for all the chests

I think I've beat this game. I was so far in that mobs just stopped spawning and nothing would spawn when I started a teleporter. Except the final wave before I obliterated myself. That wave consisted of ~100 imp overlords that I was wiping out in just a few seconds.

I'de like for his 4th ability to do something more useful. maybe a rapid fire scattershot cone of bullets that stuns, with less damage per bullet to balance.

on stage 1 you farm until you hit like level 2/3 and have at least one good damage item
then after that you hit chests until you feel like youre noticeably stronger so the boss doesnt shitstomp you
also route properly, dont take 3 minutes slowly plodding across the entire map to get back to the tp

thats basically it though, everything else just hinges on getting a strong item/combo early or lucking into a quality printer/item shop soup

this, right now you have to play like a pussy as commando because he cant gracefully approach dangerous encounters. the dodge is fucking useless and that in itself encourages doing typical meme shit like sprinting and quailing around while spraying bosses from across the map

his m2 is pretty much irrelevant for it's purpose of peircing enemies and r might as well not exist after you get some attack speed shit

I think the mod lets you play as enemies or some shit but I never tried it. Anyways, just use cheat engine and start with the Commando. First scan 18, then select any other character and next scan their id

25 - Engineer
35 - Huntress

44 - Mercenary
58 - MUL-T

After that just save the only value remaining and change it to whatever value 1-61. There's a pastebin with all of the values but I forgot the link.

Merc left click interrupts nothing and gets interrupted by nothing, you can pretty much always hold LB down for more damage even during eviscerate.
The only caveat is you can't start an LB combo during another attack so you want to evisc right after you start a new combo.
Suddenly merc has some of the best damage in the game have fun.

Commando is effectively just a slightly weaker version of Mul-T and Huntress is just a Boomerang machine that functions extremely poorly against anything she can't bounce to death, relative to other classes. They should just make it act as a defense grid, like warframe's Vauban. You can set a perimeter of mines (including making some of them float) that connect to each other with energy beams. As soon as something trips the beam, it gets the 100%xNmines of damage to the face.
And increase the recharge rate.

So is Aspect of Ice worth it?
Got it dropped yesterday and had it the whole run, noticed all the enemies chillin, even bosses but couldn't really tell if it was being very useful, it certainly becomes a big burden since it's on the item slot.
I would fucking love if it did something when activated, like picture this:

>on use, spawn a spherical wave from the player that freezes enemies for a few seconds
>maybe base freeze duration on max enemy health so bosses are more resilient to it
>if it's at 0 uses and in cooldown, you don't have the passive effect

Would love a tiny little bit more of depth for the usable items, could make some of them more useful. Like imagine that the money gun gives you money over time like the piggybank as long as it has uses, I don't know.
