Japanese women have made some pretty based manga. Off the top of my head there's Dorohedoro, Fullmetal Alchemist, To You The Immortal is actually pretty damn cool, and Magi was alright for the first half although the ending was a little fucked up.

She's the one who made the Maken X manga.

she did make a manga adaptation of maken x.

My only problem with it is that the faces are really to simplistic.

Fucked up bad. After like Volume 20 the manga fell downwards.

I went back to re-read Maken X after finding out. It's interesting and unusual, not as good as Dorohedoro but you can see the artist finding their style.

People kinda like the game due Kaneko art. But game itself isn't anything special.

I found the gameplay cool.

The story is rather dark and borderline edgy on a number of occasions, but it sounds like you truthfully didn't read it. There's a lot of comedic and light hearted scenarios throughout the story, and it doesn't take itself that seriously most of the time. It's not really plot driven, but more so character driven.

Baroque is probably the closest you can get, yeah. The artist also did some of the character designs for Shadows of the Damned. Only a few bosses got in after the game was butchered tho.
Bloodborne is also good, and before you ask, no, the Bloodborne comic isn't drawn by her, just this alternate cover.
