I don’t know if it was that. A lot of it depends on how the game expected you to play. If someone was blindly going into it and just randomly killing monsters then I think him originally wanting to kill you on sight would make sense, but I think he’s written vague enough until he gets more development further into the game, where you’ve had time to show your intentions. When he meets you in Snowden he isn’t necessarily extremely nice, but he’s not straight out mean, either. Just kind of fucking around with the concept of having ‘ caught ‘ you to make his brother happy.
I’m not the best at organizing my thoughts but I feel as if ‘ you’d be dead where you stand ‘ makes the most sense if you’ve been killing monsters. Kind of a weakly fleshed out statement. It would be much better if it were based off your actions instead of just a flat plot point he said either way.
