In nature, animals such as lions consume most of their prey.
The reason for this is that they might not find food for a long time and each kill could be their last before they starve to death, they need to make sure they can store every bit of energy they can.
To teach kids to finish everything in their plate no matter what using this as an analogy is stupid.
Especially if the food you're preparing them is too much, or not healthy enough.
Giving them smaller and healtier portions and then making sure that they consume all of it is a much better route.
The obesity problem in children in the US is tied to bad parenting, not kids being spoiled brats.

All games that implement karma systems usually don't do much with them. If anything they're there just to look flashy, make the player feel if their the good or bad guy.

theHunter Cotw is kinda that. You are a licensed hunter but most of the time you are hunting to cull populations that are too big, gathering samples to diagnose disease in the reservation and thi gs like that. The African map in particular is fucking grim and has you see some of the things poachers do, disarm traps and in general learn how fucked things are in real conservation efforts.
